Which phone are you using?
Sometimes remote play with my vita causes a bad lag too.
It could be the wireless connection to your device.
Also, there is direct PS4 to device connection or through the network. That might affect it as well.

Playing remote play if HOPELESS here in malaysia.

I tried playing my ps4 via remote play on my vita at my office which is 15km away from home. Using unifi 500mbps.

Still lags somewhat.
Office internet is fast too, about 300mbps or so.
If i switch to 4G, it’s barely playable. 

Hope 5G could overcome this remote play lagginess but i wouldn’t bet on it.

Maybe PS5 will have better remote play mechanisms in the future? Who knows.

I believe those  cheap <100 are made using the same plastic mold and perhaps some of the parts internally are similar to the Dual Shock 4.
Some cheaper ones might use lower quality switches too.
However they lack any quality control and it's very likely you'll get a lemon unit with non functional buttons/touchpad/gyroscope/earphone jack.

double check first , if you already turn it off , there is no way for them to renew the subscription
