Arctic silver 5. My current fan was the nidec fan which was supposed to be quiet, but with the old thermal paste it was really loud.

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Nov 8 2020, 02:04 PM) It was the CUH7006. And yes, I know nidec fans aren’t common to be noisy, so I was surprised to see one when I opened it. It’s not a second hand set too, so it came from Sony with the nidec fan. This post has been edited by LegendLee: Nov 8 2020, 02:42 PM |

QUOTE(GamersFamilia @ Nov 8 2020, 05:03 PM) the fan not the cause of it , all it need was a thermal paste replacement and total clean up inside the console Yup. Which was why after changing the paste, it was very quiet. The console itself was already clean. Couldn’t find much dust inside, so I didn’t bother cleaning anything. Having an air purifier near my console paid off haha. GamersFamilia liked this post

QUOTE(LegendLee @ Nov 8 2020, 02:37 PM) It was the CUH7006. Update after a couple of months. And yes, I know nidec fans aren’t common to be noisy, so I was surprised to see one when I opened it. It’s not a second hand set too, so it came from Sony with the nidec fan. The nidec PS4 pro fan is getting loud again. Not as Loud as just before I changed the fan, but it’s certainly very noticeably irritating now. Can definitely hear it over speakers. It’s a good thing I’ll be able to collect the ps5 later this weekend. Can’t stand the noise. |

QUOTE(missmataleo @ May 3 2021, 06:28 AM) hi guys, how many account can i login to my ps4? is there any limit? let say i want to add 10 different accounts on the console. is it possible? 16 accounts if I’m not wrong. You’ll not reach the limit under most normal circumstances. This post has been edited by LegendLee: May 3 2021, 08:58 AM |

QUOTE(DJ-Spike @ Sep 28 2021, 11:54 PM) Anyone using vertical stand for their PS4 Pro? I was using the official PS4 pro stand (looks like the one from Amazon). So far so good. Doesn’t seem to block the air intake as well.My friend's looking for one but he's not sure which is better. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41EW6iAuSnS._SL1000_.jpg https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61wJxAF..._AC_SL1500_.jpg We couldn't find the official retail prices but based on the sellers on Amazon the top one cost three times more than the bottom one. $34 USD and $12 USD respectively. |

QUOTE(cloudwan0 @ Oct 28 2021, 04:54 PM) want to ask master here, The best course of action so far is to change the fan. How do you overcome the ps4 pro internal cooling fan noisy issue? when ever running game in HDR the internal fan will start running in 100% BTW, i have open up and clean the fan, but not much dust inside also. Change to a nidec ps4 pro fan and also apply a new thermal paste. Plenty of YouTube tutorials here and I think you can find the PS4 pro fan online. Having said that while it will get noticeably quieter, it’s still far from a complete silence. It’ll still be very audible during gameplay. |
