QUOTE(Zeliard @ Oct 29 2019, 12:12 PM)
I'm thinking of getting a pro, for the graphical enhancement since I have myself a 4k TV now. My dilemma is knowing a Ps5 release is imminently around the corner, a ps4 pro may not be the best choice. And also what shall I do with my ps4 vanilla? It is a DQ LE.

My argument to purchase a pro, I might not be an early adopter of Ps5, perhaps will wait for about a year later to see any defect in the pioneer batch. In the mean time, a ps4 may be adequate. And I can also sell the pro away, it could still be in 2 /3 years old by then.

What do u all think?
*
If you really want it, then go for it.
Wait for 11.11 sales.

Other points to consider
- How often you use ps4 / consume 4k media?
- resale value after ps5 is released will be very low.
- jump in performance will be very minor compared to the jump to PS5.

if you aren't an early adopter, just upgrade your current set to Pro
buy now, play now, enjoy now, regret later

PS5 is next year end, that's another year to go, plus since you aren't getting it day 1, so there's another 1.5 to 2 years for your next console upgrade, by then, you already get back what's worth from your Pro
and resell value of a Pro definitely is much better than your DQ LE, ppl won't pay a lot of extra for a LE anyway, unless they are a hardcore collector, and good luck finding one.

Hey guys, i need some assistance here.

My ps4 controller had the stutter issue on the left analog stick. The character will change between walk and running if I push analog forward. I think this is quite a common issue.

I checked with the shop before and they charge me RM80 for replacing the motherboard. I remember the authentic controller costs around RM150++

I checked online shop and found someone selling PS4 controller for RM80 only. I assume these are not authenticate from Sony right?

Should I just get a new one ( which one is worth to get? ) or change motherboard for RM80?

I would suggest not to repair. U can try to get a 2ND hand at a reasonable price. Or get a brand new one with an ease of mind. Don't settle for those cheap <100 version. Definitely not authentic.

Ok. I guess I will go for brand new one. Really worry about the 2nd hand, scare kena conned. I saw Impulse gaming is selling RM179.

Just curious, other than the authentic different between those cheap <100 version and original, are there a lot issue for those cheap version?

I believe those cheap <100 are made using the same plastic mold and perhaps some of the parts internally are similar to the Dual Shock 4.
Some cheaper ones might use lower quality switches too.
However they lack any quality control and it's very likely you'll get a lemon unit with non functional buttons/touchpad/gyroscope/earphone jack.

These days I’m happy with my wired usb c nacon controller. Don’t have to worry about battery. But even for a Sony approved/certified controller, it disconnects every 1-2 hours when I have the ear jack plugged in.

Not to mention my scuf sometimes have a bit of a delayed/missed input.

So for cloned sets which are not approved for PS4, the extra frustration is definitely not worth it.

I am looking forward to Nioh too.
I finished sekiro a couple of months ago, I kinda liked it.
I wonder how does Nioh stacks up to Sekiro.
