Why the loss of interest leh?

I guess a few:

1. You learn to play piano, you can play organ or any keyboard instruments, you play organ, you are not trained to play piano.

2. Digital piano taking over Organ roles. I have a Digital piano myself. Computers + software + MIDI keyboards can also take over, more flexible to upgrade, cheaper price. Almost everyone already has a laptop/PC at home. Most home got > 1 PC/laptop.

3. You got see Organ in Ochestra Symphonies or not? biggrin.gif

From my observation, this isn't so.

The scores made for Piano is so different that when you get a pianist to go on an Organ, they can play it as a piano but they can't handle it utilize it as good as one who is proficient in organ.

Basically they have things in common (black and white keys) but how both are played are quite different.

Dont agree. Its easy to play organ if you know how to play piano. Seen many players do it. Learning to play piano from an organ exclusive background is different story as organist needs to retrain their fingers strength and control to handle the piano keys weight.

Pianist just have to kept in mind is organ is a wind instrument and make adjustment accordingly (need to take a bit of time of course).
