oh dear, we will pray for your safe delivery.. do take care. baby is ok don't worry
dear all, what's CTG?
Hi I am back now. After 36 hours monitoring I had emergency c section because the ctg wasn't doing well. CTG is mainly to monitor baby's movement and heart rate. According to doctor a good ctg is baby having a stable heart rate with spike of heart rate in between. The graph supposed to have peaks ever few seconds, but my baby's graph is a steady line, not much peaks. Baby may be sleeping (but this positive view is diminished after 36 hours continuous CTG because it's not normal to be sleeping that long) or in serious trouble.
All I heard in the operation room was the doctors surprised at how small my placenta was, which is the cause for my baby's growth restriction. My baby could have die in my womb.
My baby is born at 1.7kg and his 5th day in NICU. A bit jaundice and need to have weight gain before he can be discharge. Also need to check if he has any other issue. My heart breaks at seeing them taking blood from his tiny hand for testing.
My hospital bill is about 4K plus.
FYI, if you're taking FPP, mummy's bill is the only one charged private rate. Medication wise, most of them are govt rate. Baby will be charged per govt rate. Thank goodness. I cannot imagine if I have delivered at private hospital.
So ladies, any time your instinct tells you baby isn't moving much, go to labour room and check. My baby passed the 10 kicks in 12 hours every day so I never thought much when he moves very little after dinner that night.
