Any sort of collective investment schemes will require BNM's approval, otherwise it will be deemed as a red flag.

A check on it's press release raised another question on their credibility.

"Over the past 20 years, Malaysian durians is only farmed to meet local demand. With China expecting to open its market to Malaysia durians, we will see a surge in demand soon"

What is "China expecting to open its markets to Malaysian durians"? The market was already opened since 2 years ago that drove our prices of Musang King up to surpass RM120 per kg last year. And now they are saying that China is "expecting" to open its doors? Price for Musang King plunged this year due to oversupply and reduced demand from China as they prefer more of Thailand durian now.

I believe that this company is simply trying to look for ways to cash out of the sunset business by mimicking it as an "investable asset" with its track record of last year's profitability as a "proof of sound growing business". If you get in now, they have already recouped their capital by selling the old trees to you (while retaining their profits from previous years), leaving you with depreciating assets as the trees get older and demand slides further.

Stay away unless you want to burn some money for some experience to share.

Be sceptical about it. If it's a good investment, they wouldn't ask for crowdfunding like this and bring in so many owners. Their marketing is quite aggressive, i see them in newspaper and FB ads almost every day. Usually, if it's a good investment, big bosses and rich man will invest and you wouldn't even get a chance. They just spreading the risk to many ikan bills.

Only invest the money you willing to lose.

Hard to say its genuine or scam.

Many things can be falsified these days.
