i was considerin getting a macbook 2.0ghz for my 2nd laptop. However, is this notebook good for graphic like for adobe photoshop and autocad? I have this worry because the notebook only consist a 64mb graphic card. Beside, the sales man also told me macbook can only use for photoshop cs2 but not cs3 cause it cant support. Is that true? So, is it fast enough to withstand the duty if compare to a toshiba laptop with come with core2duo, 1gb ram and 256mb ati graphic card? Guys, pls advice me, thanks.

Do some google research will ya? This sort of question are all around, even on this forum itself.

The Macbook does not have a graphic card. Its a built-in chips with shared memory. If you consider to do a lot of heavy rendering with Autocad you gonna cry.

It's well supported as it is the must have version for all creative beats with Intel Mac.

yeah but then again, my fren uses CS2 on her ibook ( G4, bluetooth model) , its not slow but will probably drive you bonkers.

macbook pro is the only way to go if you plan to use autocad and CS3. hopefully you get to earn money from doing graphics that will help pay for your macbook pro

I have a question here, sorry for hijacking blush.gif

Why isn't Intel's new integrated graphics card (X3000) I think isn't in Macbooks yet?

@KTay, because Apple hardly ever puts decent graphics cards in the *BUDGET* line of their laptops?

Do you really want to know why? I'm sure macbook will use that chip and santa rosa platform in another 6months time. Why? Right now apple just want to "clear" old stock. Those old stocks are from where? Our so-called "pro" macbook. rolleyes.gif After another 6months, it will re-use "pro" santa "clause" chip for the low-BUDGET macbook and the PRO line will use another new technology, maybe change processor(upcoming 45nm processor is penryn which using SSE4). And history will repeat itself whistling.gif That's so-called marketing tactics

Are you sure X3100 is so-called "decent graphics cards"? X3100 still an integrated graphic chip. Any decent graphics card can pwned X3100 in any time. But X3100 of cos it's wayyyyyyy better than GMA950.
