 Looking for a suit Heatsink & Fan

Hello,

I'm looking for heatsink & Fan suit for my dell studio 9100 cos i worry a old Heatsink & Fan is no more out in market... so what a Heatsink & Fan is suit ah ?

this size are no suit for all a Heatsink & Fan with my motherboard bangwall.gif cry.gif

Since the motherboard uses an LGA 1366 socket......I think most LGA1366 coolers should fit.

Something like a Cooler Master Hyper 212?

Or maybe look on AliExpress for the original replacement heatsink that suits it.

However do note that some of these pre-built PC's have weird motherboard layout....so aftermarket coolers will have clearance issues because there are capacitor/etc blocking.

thanks for reply... so my dell motherboard is call LGA 1366 socket right ? any a heatsink can suit for a motherboard ?

yes same like ur cpu... now my heatsink is broken cos too hot...
if dont use a heatsink... so what cooler i need to add my motherboard ah?

Thats not my pc la. Fan stopped is it? Can buy any better cooler for it. Just that damn DELL uses those screw mount on post only. You have to take out the motherboard for this.

At the back of the motherboard should have a metal/ plastic plate that holds the screw points. This is removable but need to heat up the area with hair dryer to weaken the glue and the pry it it out... SLOWLY.

After that the board is exactly like you buy from shop. So can install any cooler you want.

no dare to try later i broken a motherboard doh.gif the fan no problem... just a hang cover is broken cos hot...

Hang cover? You mean the fan funnel/ shroud is it?
