Hi,

Has anyone taken Lexapro 10mg before? I'm on my 5th day and the side effects are making me so uncomfortable. The back of my head have so much pressure as if someone is squeezing them. I get chills and also drowsiness (even though I take them at night).

Is my side effects normal? I feel like I'm going insane.. My appointment is next week, should I continue the medicine or stop?

Strongly suggest pay your doctor a visit and check with him. Please get his advise first before stopping your medication.

I don't think I can take anymore leave to go to the hospital... Need to queue and wait damn long..

i would rather queue and see the doctor than making myself uncomfortable until the next appointment.

Hi I do take 10mg escitalopram sold under the brand names Cipralex and Lexapro for my IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)

Physical

Stomach ache/discomfort (which is probably due to my IBS)
Nausea
Diarrhea
Drowsiness
Headache
Chill (especially when sleeping)
Fatigue
Fever

Mental

Vivid dreams
Insomnia or trouble sleeping
Impulsiveness (I've become shopaholic and spent money recklessly)
Restlessness

However there are a lot of other SSRI out there, it's just depend on your body how to adjust to the drugs, as for me, I really need it for my severe IBS, and also for my depression due to my physical pain. I can't take things like Zoloft or Prozac cause they won't help to improve my IBS symptoms, hence I need the Lexapro/Cipralex.
