Yes you can

Okay assuming 10% co-ins. So masuk hospital and billed 10k.

Charged first insurance = 8k

So charge 2nd insurance = 2k, or 2k-10% = 1.8k?

Personal Experience:-
hospital bill = RM40K
company medical insurance = RM 35K
Hospital Discharge the company card and readmit his personal medical card. Then the 5K are subjected to Co-Insurance because the package he got is a co-ins medical card.

Uncover charges: 10% + admin fees + Supplements + extra meals + Toothpaste+ Diapers  * All the unrelevant fees.
*
Ah, so co-ins also apply in determing the amount claimable for 2nd insurance. This makes sense, thanks for clarifications. Anyone else wanting to confirm/ refute this?

Any insurance providers here that have international hospitalization/emergency coverage, which DO NOT need to pay-first-claim-later?

Yes there is. Offshore insurance that offers global medical coverage.
Get a long term one in Malaysia and get a yearly renewal one in SG.

So all local insurance providers do not have this? all is pay first, claim later?

Let say the policy owner, and the person covered is different person... what happens when the policy owner dies?

Item# 6.....maybe as per post 1595... Page 80
Item # 7...why 20 yrs coverage? Isn't at 51 yrs old... That is the time when most would start to use the insurance coverage most?
Does the policy owner also bought payor benefits rider at time of initial coverage purchase?
*
yes payor benefit included

I think it depends....do you have accumulated "bonus/cash value" sort of things inside?

if I just stopped paying my monthly premium for my PA and it will just lapse after 1 month.....that is according to my agent.....for my PA has nothing extra value accumulated in it
if you really wanted to cancel...better check if there is any accumulation in it...maybe can still get back some $$

If your medical card with investment link then get your agent to check for you.

You may refer to your policy as well. Can roughly know how much cash value "if" is ILP.

QUOTE(lifebalance @ Oct 2 2019, 12:13 PM)
If it's a standalone insurance then you can choose not to pay for the premium and the policy will lapse.

Otherwise you can choose to surrender and get back some refund.

If your policy is an investment link, then you can choose to drop the medical card rider while maintaining other coverage.

If you don't want to keep any policy at all, then walk in and sign a letter to cancel the policy to get back your cash value (if any).

the medical card is standalone. my concern is like if kena blacklist from the insurance company, or got negative impact on my ccris/ctos

No impact la, it’s not connected to bank negara CCRIS/CTOS haha

Hi watabakiu. You dont have to worry on the blacklisting thing. since its a standalone, can just let it lapse without paying the premium (if you really dont want it).
hi yeeck. from what you'd listed, there is 230k of life insurance. for 1) and 2), if the cash bonus can be used to continue the plan, can just leave it as it is. you can consolidate 3) & 4) together (have to double check the comprehensiveness of the Critical Illness coverage in 4) since it is a plan dedicate to cover Critical Illness.

setel! will just let the standalon medical card to lapse
