Thanks for your reply.

I tasted Nespresso's coffee yesterday in their boutique, but didn't have the chance to test Dolce Gusto's.

Apart from the kaw-ness of the coffee, any other pros and cons of both brands?

About their availability of the captures.

You can find Dolce Gusto capsules almost everywhere (Tesco, Aeon, and etc), and covered with dust too. Due to low popularity among Penangites.
But for Nespresso capsules, only top-tier hypermarket will sell them, very rare.

For their machine,
Both have the same built quality, you will find more plastics for the cheaper version and less for the expensive range..

Nespresso and Dolce Gusto are both owned by Nestle. Just targeting different market segments. I have both machines. Both give me better coffee than instant coffee. Nespresso better variety but twice the price. Ultimately, I find the espresso coffee machines produce the best coffee with good quality freshly ground beans.

Taste wise, which one do you find it better?

i guess you can purchase online...
even msia have outlets to buy pods..
*
Yes, can purchase online or via their mobile app.

As convenient as it may sound, it does come with a catch: minimum purchase ($70 in Singapore) for free delivery.

Malaysia only has one outlet, if I am not wrong, and that is in KL.

People from Penang and Ipoh need to go all the way to KL just to buy the pods?

This concept might sound feasible for a small and well-connected country like Singapore, but personally I don't think so for Malaysia.

But some online reviews mention that those compatible pods will somehow cause the machine to spoil faster.

I am not sure if it is true or they are being paid to say things like that.

Nespresso got much more choice of flavours but is twice the price. The difference in "kaw-ness" can be adjusted by the water level. The only real difference in the machines is the size of water reservoir. Pay more then don't have to re-fill the water as often, but the machine will take up more space. Get the cheapest machine IMHO, don't leave water sitting in the container for too long.
