Description: ive done some reading, the latest update from TM (last november) restricted access to 3rd party apps and flashing option. In the latest firmware, the stock browser app disabled download by directly clicking the link. The workaround is "long-press"->"save-link". However, play store installed using ckpv5 method will never work as the app does not have access to system partition.

Another change in the latest firmware is that the recovery mode no longer has both "update from backup" and "update from external storage" options. Regarding this aspect, no solution can be found yet as of this moment.

I highly suspect one can still root and flash desired firmwares onto it. Those 2 options might even be hidden, probably with the right password, they can still be brought back.

In the past, there has been attempts to sideload apk via adb debugging. I read that one may do bsb85my method by debugging via wifi. Back in 2016, there's been similar guide on androidrepublica website, however, how does the stb and pc connect btwn the 2 was not specified, unsure either usb or wifi. Ive enabled usb debugging, how does it continue from there? Is the bootloader locked in the latest update? Does the device even connect to PV using USB male2male data transfer cable?
