Hi guys thinking of getting 1.5hp airconds for bedroom. Midea brand seems cheap and they are basically everywhere in china.
Any good/bad experience with them in Malaysia?

My office LG aircond very difficult to get parts

Will include York.

zzzxtreme Choose brands like York, Acson, Daikin and Panasonic.

Don't choose Samsung. This brand is not reliable.

Thanks.

If parts is a concern, go for daikin, acson.

Produced in oyl factory Malaysia.

York is now china rebranded haier. Plus some stuff from johnson controls.

Midea non inverter models are crap.

MIDEA is pretty decent. They are the new kid on the block and has seriously punctured many bigger co's in sales.

My bad experience using Media inverter aircon, can't remember model, the water outlet get sticked frequently, around 2-3 months need to blow it off, or otherwise it will leak, quite irritating, check the water out flaw routine b4 purchase.

err........

more likely installer problem
when they try to conceal the drain pipe behind the aircon with a S bend.......that's the problem.

I suspected so, bought from AC Cool Kuchai Lama, the boss refuse to provide services, Media keep repair it from times to times until warranty period end, decided throw it away after warranty period, overall, its really very bad experience in AC COOL Kuchai Lama n Media.....

Yeah, Mitsubishi also a good brand.

Its less popular coz not many shop carry that brand.

Choose the common ac & see also ur local shop carry what brand, later easy to repair/service/get parts

Can't blame Midea, your problem is caused by unprofessional installer. Midea after sales service consider very good, at least they still attend to you.

Actually any common brand with a local service center will be OK. Those dropship brands will be a headache coz hard to order parts. Personally I use [Mitsubishi Mr Slim and Hitachi, newer models] and [Toshiba from 1997 starting to fail now but it did give a good run of 20 years].
