Hi,
I'm already planning to get myself AC Freezer Pro7 based on the price/performance ratio...but i'm really puzzled over the unfinished/uncoated heatpipe ending like the picture shown below. I've seen a lot of reviews about this heatsink, nevertheless, non of the website tells the significant of this reason.
Does anybody notice about that?

What do you mean by uncoated heatpipe? Heatpipes are usually pure copper outside. What you see at the end of the AC Freezer 7 heatpipes are solders to seal the heatpipe.

it sure looks like unfinished coating from the pictures...and somemore it's not evenly rounded ends....

ya.ya..i read about the liquid in the heatpipe...i really wondering how come AC company does not perfect the endings...but with the price tag of around RM100+, i've come to my senses to accept it since nobody is making a big fuse about it.

What do you mean by perfecting the ends? The ends of the AC F7's heatpipes are certainly fine. You can't find any U type heatpipes that will have 2 perfectly round sealed heatpipes ends.

It's not because AC F7 cost RM100+ that they dont have 2 ends of perfectly round heatpipes, but because heatpipes will have 1 pre-sealed end and 1 open end where liquid gets filled in before it gets sealed.

Even Thermalright Ultra 120 has 4 U type heatpipes(8 heatpipes ends) with 4 rounded ends and 4 sharp pointed ends where liquid gets filled in.
