Maybe a stupid question. If a restaurant offers GrabFood, does it mean they accept GrabPay when you dine at the restaurant?

I just ate lunch today and this restaurant doesn't have any stickers or QR code that they accept GrabPay but I have ordered GrabFood from this restaurant before.

Thanks for the answer. Maybe this restaurant doesn't want Grab to share some profit.

chicken-and-egg situation

to grow business, they need to offer more payment options (eg ewallets)

but to offer those, need to pay MDR which would eat up their margin  sweat.gif

the MDR/fee is always the contention for businesses to adopt "new" payment channels, be it cards or ewallets.
probably they went for grabfood delivery to category for delivery service (instead of incurring the cost themselves) thumbsup.gif

Does GrabPay have the highest MDR? I noticed that most shops have Boost and TnG and GrabPay is sometimes missing.

Anyone know why expats can't upgrade GrabPay wallet? I'm forced to use rm500 only so I can't make bigger purchases.

Anyone know how this works? I don't see an option to select a gift.

I don't foresee 1 sen deal will be continuing for long, once the beta testing (at Penang, JB, Kuching only) is over. Unlimited Plan is too new to everyone, I don't comment your strategy will work or not.

I bought RM30 Grabfood vouchers at <RM15 on special days with discount vouchers at Lazada, good if my Grabfood order is >RM30 or when Grabfood -50% (capped at -RM12.50) is not allowed (not all the food outlets can apply -50% voucher, promo items).
*
Grab changed the vouchers. I don't see -50% capped at rm12.50 anymore. Now it's -35% capped at rm5.00.

In JB we still have the 50% discount voucher.

I see. This is the case in Penang. Enjoy your 50% vouchers while they last.

I hope Grab fixes it. It started this week only when I can't find the -50% vouchers. Maybe the problem is only in Penang

How do I use GrabPay vouchers if they scan me?

I have the rm 3 vouchers if I use GrabPay at shops but my supermarket always scans me instead of me scanning their QR.

Looks like i misunderstood the 10x upto 50% off. For my current subscription month it is actually 6x 50% n 4x 30% off.
Previously in January my other account was able to use > 10x 50%.
*
For February I only was able to use 50% voucher 4 times. The last day was Feb 6 then after that it just shows 30% off.
In January I could also use 50% more than 10 times.

You only get Grab points when you use Grab services. For other payments, you just get a lucky draw. Same like Boost, no guaranteed reward.

Forget about which apps giving point. Just utilise credit card cashback.

I use my cimb e-credit card because they give points when I topup grab or TnG. It's better than paying directly with credit cards.

If you use Grab (or any e-wallet) to pay at shops, do the shops pay a fee to Grab like 1%?

Some shops still prefer cash payment. So maybe Grab gets some fee from shops.
