QUOTE(shirleywst19 @ Dec 3 2019, 11:54 PM) Found the reason why no point rewarded to bill payment already πππ The can bloody spam you with all of their Grabfood and other promo notifications, but not let us know when they change their T&C. They are also very quiet when your reward points are close to expiry and will not let you know. Goes to show the class of people running the business.

QUOTE(harrishkrishna1 @ Dec 16 2019, 04:47 PM) Ignorant business-driven mentality. Is this anything new? No. I suppose the conclusion is to be more wary about things like this potentially happening. Problem is it that it's impossible to know their change in T&C since they don't announce it. We only get to know from their replies to complaints. If it was in some other countries, perhaps something can be done to protect users' interests.

QUOTE(mamamia @ Dec 18 2019, 09:47 AM) Now only they give notice.. [attachmentid=10374440] They must have received tons of complaints. I emailed them and told them I will file an official complaint with Ministry of Communications and Multimedia and Ministry of Consumer Affairs regarding their unfair practice and also demanded that they refund the payment. They think that because they dominate the market, they can do as they wish and consumers can't do much. This type of thinking makes me use them only as last resort rather than building my loyalty to them.

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Dec 19 2019, 04:07 PM) Don't worry, still have ppl will jump to the fire hole inside. Grab is an E-hailing service. Sometimes I can't thinking why need to do some sub-business like scan & pay OR pay bill, services and so on.. Perhaps it's a good way either cuci or gain more profit about it. It's building an ecosystem whereby most services you use go through them. Just like Google providing maps, email and search, and Facebook with Instagram and WhatsApp. With a bigger ecosystem and more users, they can brand themselves better and eventually sell off to the tune of billions USD.

For those who paid Bill's via Grabpay in December before they made the announcement that no rewards points will be given, file an official complaint to Grab.
I did that and they credited the points into my account 'as a goodwill gesture'. While I don't consider it any goodwill gesture at all, I thanked them for doing the right thing.
They will only do this if bill payment was made BEFORE thier notification on 17th Dec.

QUOTE(car_computer @ Dec 28 2019, 04:45 PM) no need to clear existing points in 3 days, because cash conversion still remains at 165 points = Rm1. transactions that are fully paid with points wonβt get new points the only thing is that new transactions from 1st jan 2020 onwards will be rewarded with 3 points (platinum level) only. so itβs not that attractive to use grabpay from 1st jan 2020 onwards Hi, may I know where you got this info from? Didn't receive any notification from Grab. If even for Platinum users, RM1 = 3 points, there goes my usage of Grabpay. Might as well use credit card.

QUOTE(MGM @ Dec 30 2019, 05:08 AM) Thanks. Used it at Sakae Sushi for THE year end promo rm8.48 Chick Teriyaki JYU. Tot reward points will be devalued come 1Jan2020 but it is a false alarm. The reward points are not devalued. It's just the earning rates back to normal. For the case of platinum users, from Oct to Dec, it is x9 points per RM1. From Jan onwards, it will be x3. For those chasing Krisflyer miles, x9 is even better than using Amex card locally.

If you are collector of Krisflyer Miles, Grabpay is one of the best options. With the 3x points, it's still better than AMEX, provided you are topping up Grabpay with a credit card that gives points for e-wallet reloads.
So in addition to credit card points by eligible credit cards, Spending RM 155.55 will give around 1400 points = 160 KF Miles Spending RM 155.55 via Amex will give 155 KF Miles

QUOTE(soonwai @ Feb 4 2020, 09:16 PM) Really miss RM1 for 20 Grabpoints. That was so good. Nowadays Boost extra coins multiplier very low. Most times zero extra coins. Got extra also only 1.x. Of course if Boost or TnG got cashback promo then will use them to the max. Even Boost mission also not that great. Eg: Unifi bill RM120 cashback RM3. If pay with Grab almost RM9 worth of Hotlink topup but no cash lah. Unless of course you get 8x extra coins but canβt depend on that. Thatβs why lately Iβve been paying my bills with e-pay and Grab. Tried a few times using Gran to pay via e-pay but never been able to receive the 6 digit code. Payment successful only using Boost.

QUOTE(kkdavelim @ Feb 5 2020, 09:54 AM) Been paying advance bills for the year of 2020. Total around 5k worth of 45,000 points = RM272 rebate for points redeems. Anyone face fail to pay bills this morning? As grab only allow RM1,000 pay per days , have to pay bills daily to accumulate 5k When Grab reverts the bonus points back to x3, do you think there will be a downwards revision in the redemption? If yes, holding on to too much of the rewards points might not be of much use.

QUOTE(ProxMatoR @ Feb 5 2020, 11:44 AM) from 20x to 9x and soon 3x... i consider that is already a big devaluation Since they took over Uber, they know we have no choice but to use them. So they can do what they want.

QUOTE(ProxMatoR @ Feb 5 2020, 11:54 AM) but back then, there was no such thing as uberpay. and now, there is such thing called boost, TnG ewallet that fights with grabpay. If it wasn't for the x9 rewards, I will not use Grabpay. Once back to x3, I'll use Amex for Grab rides, and MBB VI / Amex for regular payments. If have to use eWallet, then will be Boost using my HLB Emirates card.
