This is what I usually do:

I go to the counter inside and tell them the koisk number and I want a full tank to pay later using ewallet. They'll ask for a deposit and I usually pass them RM 50.

After I'm done pumping, I'll return, make the payment with grabpay and get back my deposit.

Regarding the deposit, it felt weird at first, but I've yet to come across any issue for few years now with the stations I go to and I've become used to it by now. Sometimes, my passenger will go in on my behalf, and tell them she'll wait there and make the payment after.

This is why I stick with Petronas, can topup setel app via Grab Pay..then select option "full"

Speaking of Setel, is Setel been developed by Petronas? Because I notice only Petronas can be used with Setel.

Setel is Petronas's subsidiary if i am not mistaken.

It is owned by Petronas Dagangan Berhad one of the Petronas Subsidiaries

We are usually @ the mercy of any service but think again, one day GrabPay doesn't work with X merchant, GrabPay is losing money for that day's worth of transactions. We shall just hope, and see when they'll be done "updating". TBH it's frustrating as well.
