Few questions:

1. If we pay using grabpay now, we will still get 3x points right? The 1.5x and 0.75x will only take effect 1 July?

2. I see that the points redemption are now RM10= 1500 points, is this implemented now? How about the RM10= 1000 points voucher, can anyone with unlimited redeem this?

3. Not all vouchers are applicable for RM10= 1000 points right? Only those listed in the catalog.

4. The new grabunlimited will only take effect 1 July 2022. So what is the changes now?

Based on my calculation, the new changes to points earned from 3x to 0.75x or 1.5x has reduced my EIR from 4-4.4% to 2.85-3.35%.

Not so worth it to spam using grab card anymore (and this is only if they don't devalue the 5x from grab card)

And take note that 6.5% is based on 1000 points = RM10.

The online voucher is not on that list, hence it’s still 1500 points = RM10.

So that makes the comparison 5% vs 4.33%.

It’s getting closer to the Affin Duo rate of return already

If drop to 3x, other online CC will be better (Affin duo, PIB Visa)

Paylater voucher used to be free, any not much shop can use it.

Did some quick calculation, rate of return around 3.85% to 6.5% depending on what voucher you redeem. If your spend more than RM1k/month using grab wallet, it make sense to pay RM5 for GrabUnlimited as you can get 750 points more (1.5k Vs 750), which is more than RM5 in value.

1500 points = RM10
100 points = RM0.67

*1000 points = RM10
*100 points = RM1

RM100 reload= 500 points
500 points= RM3.35 (3.35%)
*500 points= RM5 (5%)

Spend RM100= 75 points
75 points= RM0.50 (0.5%)
150 points= RM1 (1%)
*150 points= RM1.50 (1.5%)
