In The Outer Worlds, you awake from hibernation on a colonist ship that was lost in transit to Halcyon, the furthest colony from Earth located at the edge of the galaxy, only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy it. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.

Despite being a fan of Obsidian for a while, i am beginning to get real bored with the same old top down baldurs gate/fallout rpg style of gameplay. SO GLAD this is announced (in The Game Awards, which is cool!)

bethesda stripped so much of rpg elements and baked a half-assed story onto fallout 4, so i'm glad obsidian announced this game in the midst of shitshows fo76 has caused.
Finished playing, pretty good game tbh. Only issue I have with the game is that it's not as long as Fallout series, it is tho short and sweet. Noticed a few planet that you could never go to and etc. Maybe there is future updates where we could go there, or dlc.
Sorry, somewhat necro-ish - this is now out on Steam (finally), since the 1-year exclusivity on Epic Games has expired. Just picked this up a couple days ago.
