QUOTE(Nemesis181188 @ Jun 11 2007, 08:29 PM) I hope you don't mind me asking a question, which of these graphics accelerator is suppose to be the better one? built in ar...? by theory should be GMA3XXX series... P/S: GA-945GZM-S2 already absolete... replaced by GA-945GCMX-S2... diff is can support FSB 1333 processor but FSB still frozen at 1066 unless OC... and the RAM can go up to 667MHz... QUOTE(shinjun @ Jun 10 2007, 10:04 PM) nope... 7300GS is better... even 7100 also better than GMA...QUOTE(nakata101 @ Jun 10 2007, 10:13 PM) brother... GMA950 is not meant for gaming... it's for presentation and normal use... and it's cheaper... QUOTE(kanethesun @ Jun 10 2007, 11:08 PM) friend dell inspiron with GMA 950 run NFS Most Wanted at even 800x600 is lag like hell do u think 6150 is really good...? 7100 is basically a moded 6200... and i'm not impressed wif it... think the current best onboard would be the A690 chipset from ATI? it offers X1250 right? or maybe on par with GeForce 6150 I guess QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Jun 11 2007, 12:23 AM) not price wise... QUOTE(arjuna_mfna @ Jun 11 2007, 01:21 PM) 3100 and above are all DX10 ready rite....? QUOTE(dopodplaya @ Jun 11 2007, 01:32 PM) No matter how sucky GMA is, Intel lead the biggest share of graphics processing unit market. Seconded by Nvidia. yeah... i mean how many gamers are there out there...? Budget graphics processor is important for business class computer as it does not burden the manufacturer in mass-producing business computers. In real benchmark, GMA are decent performer compared to VIA Unichrome II stuff, which still stuck at DirectX 8.1 or even Geforce 6100. Intel's GMA is for a different (which is the biggest share of computer market share), which is the business/corporate computing. Comparing it with a dedicated PCI-E/AGP GPU completely unsuitable for benchmark as it is using shared memory architecture and different bus system. QUOTE(allvin @ Jun 11 2007, 03:35 PM) QUOTE(nakata101 @ Jun 11 2007, 03:52 PM) I think u r giving a wrong information, for gaming on onboard vga, geforce 6100 is far far better than xpress200 and GMA950. i wouldn't go for tat... You can't really compare Intel GMA series graphics adapter with those from Nvidia and ATi. The Intel VGA adapters was designed with low power consumption in mind. That is why it is integrated with most laptops in the market today. If you want to compare graphical raw power, no doubt Nvidia/ATi will pawn Intel. However, if you were to compare energy efficiency/low power consumption, Intel's GMA adapter pawns Nvidia/ATi.

If u want gaming for integrated u should go for Nvidia or AMD solutions not from Intel. Anyway for very budget gaming u should looking to upgrade to 7300GT DDR3(PCIe). Its quite cheap right now or 8500GT for DX10.

Gaming on lappy cost u very expensive, usually above RM5000. Furthermore if u want high end GPU on laptop maybe cost nearly RM10k. Lappy below RM5k usually equipped with lower midrange card such as X1600PRO or 7400GS(which both perform slower than 6600GT) which degrade gaming experience.

why do u need buy expensive notebook and play games on it... let see the budget rm5000 for gaming notebook, spend rm3000 form pc lo, can get good spec with rm3000 gaming pc, then spend other rm2000 for normal notebook, that the way i always do, buy budget notebook just for normal work, and good rig for gaming... buy rm5000 notebook is useless to me...
