This new revision to 15percent is quite unfair. Quite a high jump i must say. Its funny how they can just revise it to existing borrowers. Should be for new ones only as the existing ones have a contract already.. unless the contract doesnt mean shit.

QUOTE(Kyojin @ Dec 6 2018, 10:38 AM) Exactly this. The people earning 8k are the ones complaining, because they thought they could game the system and take advantage of the low interest rate. Its not about gaming the system. There is a contract. Borrowers are adhering to it.

QUOTE(mafioso @ Dec 6 2018, 10:39 AM) year 2013 - salary 5k, you pay rm800 for your car year 2018 - salary 10k, do you pay Rm2400 for your car or you still pay RM800? Then the contract should have an increasing clause according to salary.. which there isnt. Every loan is suposed to be according to black and white document. Else is that piece of paper just toilet paper?

QUOTE(desmond2020 @ Dec 6 2018, 10:41 AM) Gov adhere to it. By exercising below right 19. Ok my bad. There really is hidden somewhere in the fineprint. Good thing i settled my partner's already at 20percent discount. Nevertheless, i feel this is too abrupt a move. Rm8k is not a lot these days for those with other loans. There should be a grace period with gradual increasing percentage to allow borrowers time to rebalance their commitments.

QUOTE(Kyojin @ Dec 6 2018, 10:47 AM) Maybe you shouldn't have treated it as toilet paper and read the contents of the contact before signing it. I did not take any ptptn loan. Just stating on those who did. Yes someone has corrected that there is indeed a clause. I think this clause should be highlighted at point of taking the loan as students being young and gullible at that point in time wouldnt have likely known better.

QUOTE(Lovekiki1208 @ Dec 6 2018, 10:57 AM) I believe Government has given enough of grace period to the loaner since BN regime. Even give discount if they complete the loan earlier. Any action from the loaners? No, Some loaners don't take it seriously to repay. Like traffic saman, who care to pay traffic saman? Until they have been forced by court or given discount, then they started to pay. All this people attitude. Not repaying vs repaying according to contract are 2 different things. Imagine the same happening to your housing loan. There is no grace period to gradually increasing the payback percentage right?

QUOTE(M4A1 @ Dec 6 2018, 11:09 AM) of course that is why financial sudah plan ma when took up ptptn loan..sudah sign n agree rm150 per mth for 20 years...OK no problem every mth as long as got rm150 pay ptptn..no problem tiba tiba next mth....rm2000 per mth....mesti la marah. Agree. If there is a change, even if govn entitled, there should be some form of grace period before this kicks in. Not announced in this manner. Sincerely hope this doesnt cause more people to be blacklisted as it would have a direct effect on ability to pay other loans.

QUOTE(sheahann @ Dec 6 2018, 11:20 AM) if really become need to pay 1200, then the most regret thing i do is to vote for the current government .. i signed agreement to serve the loan at 320, suddenly jump to 1200 ? doesnt seem logic idea to begin with .. If u think the change of government wasnt good, then i would like to see how much your rm1 is worth in 5years time had the prior trend continue. Then consider if you would regret more. Ptptn is a seperate matter, which i dont agree the abrupt manner in implementation.
