Make milo dessert DIY homemade Milo Chocolate Chips Ice Cream with most popular Malaysian drink Nestle Milo.


Ingredients:
- Nestle Milo
- 250ml Whipping cream
- 1.5 ~ 4 spoon of Condensed milk
- Chocolate rice (optional)
- Chocolate chips (optional)


Preparation time:
5 ~ 8 minutes

Cook time:
10 ~ 15 minutes

Total time:
20 minutes



1. Mix nestle milo powder together with condensed milk.

2. Pour the whipping cream. Use hand mixer to medium speed and constantly moving around until the whipping cream turn to thick, then high speed for 30 seconds or under 1 minute (don't overdo it and clean the mixer yet).

3. Stir together the milo and whipped cream. Blend it with slow speed hand mixer.

4. Add the chocolate rice and chocolate chips and mix them together (optional). Then, put it to freezer for at least 5 hours.

Reduce condensed milk if don't want too much smell of condensed milk.

Depends,not all are expensive. fancy ice cream like Haagen Dazs are custard based (made from cream,milk,egg yolk) hence they are more dense and rich in taste, pricier
while local brands like Nestle you only pay for cream and sugar whipped in with lots of air,meaning you will get cheaper price.

what TS made here is the easy version of American style ice cream
if you want to French style ice cream,prepare the cooked custard first then add the flavouring

Most cheap ice cream use palm oil to cream

Edit: go check out the ingredients at the store
main ingredient palm olein

u can buy 1.5/1 l ice cream at rm10 or lesser if promo ... hmm thinking

So true. Local cheap ice cream contain mostly sugar, cream, coloring, flavoring. There is no milk! Don't buy these cheap ice cream for your children. There is nothing good in it.

Yes, I bought this whipping cream for rm6.99. Kinda expensive tbh.
I have other way to make the whipping cream, but it is not necessary and the taste probably different.

Very cheap ice cream is just around rm 6 ~ 8.

TS did you try whipping it by ice water bath then freezing?

what the texture and consistency be like vs this whip first then freeze

Nope, it will be almost same, no difference, only help faster the freezer duration. Blend it with hand mixer for second time definitely make softer texture.

interesting, i always thought you have to whip in srzly cold temps to form the nice smooth creamy ice cream
