bluetooth doesn't support surround, will be stereo only

and worst of all is the audio lag, depends on the BT transmitter and your BT headphone used, some games are unplayable especially those heavy on audio cue

if really wanna use BT, look for those aptX Low Latency certified/compatible sets

that's why you don't see any BT headset for consoles

I used one for movie watching, even with aptX LL, the lag is still noticeable but bearable, compare to the non aptX sets which are horrible for both gaming and movies

TL;DR  Bluetooth are only good for musics, not gaming nor movies

Very good share.noted & appreciated

Haiz... my 5 yr old white PS Gold wireless is dying on me

First the skin breaking apart, getting white flakes all over my ear and hair whenever I use it, so had to peel them all off

Then the folding hinge broke in half, used superglue to glue them back, now it's not foldable

and recently the batt is behaving weirdly, few occasion when plugged in wasn't charging
and the batt life is getting worse, now full charge only can last me about 3 hours of gaming before flashing red

last few use I experience some audio drop as well, I think it's time I buried this baby for good

Still contemplating to go back to Sony PS Gold/Platinum wireless or not, since the current one is giving me lots of issue, but their sound quality is great, and cheapest among the PS4 wireless headsets
I've heard some owners of the new PS Gold headset that's non-foldable also snapped in half in the middle? which I doubt fixable by superglue...

the rest of good wireless headset also kinda expensive doh.gif
eyeing Arctis 7, which got very all round reviews, but cost around RM700 locally

had one Razer wireless from my X360 days, had some bad experience with it, especially the batt life, which is piss poor, and their poor support as well
anyway, won't be getting another Razer stuffs from them

if I have a man cave, I'll go for wired, but unfortunately my setup doesn't allow it sweat.gif
so have no choice to stick to wireless

was looking at Steelseries Arctis 7
but damn! local seller are selling damn expensive, all RM700+ onward!
very tempted to import from Amazon, which will cost me around RM550+ only
but then Sony PS Gold is RM400, almost half the price of local Arctis 7
haiz... the dilemma

Understand that ketam now a days very strict. Audio equipment import is 15% duty + 6% SST. So is that RM550+ inclusive of everything?

it's actually USD151 inclusive of shipping & "ketam" clearance
that's around RM620 by current exchange rate

since I still have some Amazon store credits, mine will come to around RM550

Think I'll hold till Amazon Prime member sales day in July, usually they have massive discount

I'll use my other BT headphone with TV for the time being then

5 years is about the time those PU leather starts to break and battery life degrade so don't feel bad. i think you already got your investment worth la.

As for me = i am actually using the Razer Thresher ultimate - awesome so far , no issues. optical out from ps4 straight to the receiver and loving it. I was supposed to get the NARI ultimate but it wasn't released yet in MY last year...lol...

yeah, that's one of the reason I hesitant to get another set of headset with faux leather, all of my headsets using faux leather will start peeling off after a few years doh.gif

I've seen replacement for the ear pads at aliexpress. But they don't have any replacement for the headband, hence it's not gonna make any difference.

For the headband, I use those badminton wrapping tape (the ones we use to wrap the handle of rackets).
Works pretty well on my Audio Technica M50.

no official local support also
warranty claim will be risky tho

Anyway, anyone tried Logitech G933 before?

it's a lot more easier to find compared to other brand
online reviews also not too bad
