So i am looking for a wireless headset that can give me the best surround sound quality and was looking into the logitec 933 but then realised it only gives stereo for ps4.

I wanna know what you guys are using and what's your recommendation ? No budget restrictions.

Im not. But i saw it in hk and was really really close to buying.

Edit: sorry man, i guess i shouldnt kacau. Im PC masterace and amateur audiophile, so the audeze really appeals to me.

Have also come across steelseries arctis (which might be 2ch only too for ps4) if you wanna watch reviews.

I was reading on Astro A50 before also but there isn’t much surround reviews on it so any owners can share their thoughts on this?

those with USB dongle won't give you true surround
all are simulated surround at best
most non-Sony brand wireless headset are only stereo

you'll need those that comes with the optical dock for true surround experience.

Then I should assume the Steelseries Arctis wireless pro has the criteria to process true surround since the USB transmit unit has optical in for the PS4 or PS4 pro.correct me if I’m wrong .🙏😊

so those sony playstation headsets are simulating surround from stereo source?
Always thought the headsets had proper surround (never tried them myself, though)

yes, it will process surround from the optical connection.

I'm using the GameDac myself, paired with a Sennheiser HD598, works very well...Play Rainbow 6, Titanfall 2 with it, love the surround.

It isn't particularly powerful though, as it won't provide enough power to use my Hifiman HE400s (Sound is damn low vs the HD598 which is much much louder)

yeah, wired headsets only.
i suppose theoretically you could plug in a 3.5mm ended bluetooth transmitter and convert the gamedac into a wireless one, but you'd most probably lose out on the surround as I don't think bluetooth supports surround.

bluetooth doesn't support surround, will be stereo only

and worst of all is the audio lag, depends on the BT transmitter and your BT headphone used, some games are unplayable especially those heavy on audio cue

if really wanna use BT, look for those aptX Low Latency certified/compatible sets

that's why you don't see any BT headset for consoles

I used one for movie watching, even with aptX LL, the lag is still noticeable but bearable, compare to the non aptX sets which are horrible for both gaming and movies

TL;DR Bluetooth are only good for musics, not gaming nor movies
