Below are some media statements available to keep one better informed. There is no point to fall for any sentiments. Pro-active & pro-initiative...everyone will either stay or move. Least be somewhat prepared.

It only sounds logical & economical to participate in e-hailing without personal vehicle. The commitment to drive is there, but not the monetary return. One can save & save...eventually the maintenance will overwhelm. Come 1/Jan/2019, I can bet that those cabbies will start harassing again. ‘Any PSV?’ Gone through numerous harassments...1 was about 6 months ago. (Vehicle encirclement). Any prospect for future driving, look at Uber on how the way they penetrate new markets legally. Local market players might even ponder on establishing own cab fleets.

Can start applying from 01 Jan 2019. Start regulating from 01 July 2019. I think a big company such as Grab will do self filtering to their own drivers in their fleet. So those that do not comply automatically no longer able to online.
