24/4 - my phone arrived and Machine call me to pick up the phone. (yay)

25/5 - Picked up my new iphone and i'm also allowed by Apple to keep the old box with all the stuffs (thx Apple!). And my phone also now is MY set instead of SG set with warranty restarted from 16/4 --> 24/4.

Well I'm very glad to have my new phone and i'm very thankful to Apple for listening and taking it professionally with my problem.

well, that’s pretty normal for Apple. Over the years i’ve RMA quite a number of charging cables and an defective iPhone X also. Hardly drop by Apple Store anymore.

After spending 4.8k on both my iPhone X and XS Max each, I've reached a realization that no phone is worth above RM4k. So yeah, no more buying iPhones above RM4k outright for me too smile.gif

come on bro, set the bar higher, rm6k maybe? that's probably my limit. rm expected to depreciate against US$, so yeah, next iPhone will definitely be more exp.

Hahaha, RM6k is too much, can't stomach it even if I can afford it biggrin.gif

i might hold on to mine a bit longer now coz i’m having multiple eSim in my current phone. a bit hassle to ask for eSim replacement, especially from yoodo which still in beta testing and there is no other local prepaid eSim telco

Ya, thats why dual physical SIM is less hassle for now. I might let go of either my XS Max or XR before the warranty ends, to salvage some value before Apple announces the next gen iPhones smile.gif

just give it to your maid, bro. smile.gif

Mine so far so good, just had the screen off no responses issue.
Something like screen protecting for self shut down within 30sec pressing any buttons no response.
After than is function well laugh.gif
*
that would be a serious issue. just call Apple up for a replacement via RMA.

One of the reason Apple went into the 1k USD phone range is because iPhones sales are slowing down everywhere, so they went that route for die-hard Apple fans to buy their expensive phones and increase revenue to please the investors.

And knowing Apple, they hardly decrease prices and instead made everything even more expensive (MacBook Air 2018 is an example when it starts at 1199USD, the older MacBook Air with 5th gen processor still sells crazily expensive)

Excited for iOS13 too. I’m hoping for the Dual Audio Bluetooth connection being made to all iPhones that support Bluetooth 5 (iPhone 8 and above) like what Samsung phones offer

All 2019 iPhone will all probably get rid of 3D Touch like the XR: https://www.macrumors.com/2019/05/27/no-3d-...-removed-rumor/
*
Apple will continue with this strategy, continue to raise price, less buyers but maintaining same profit. i’m glad they moving the production out of China. the price to pay? probably just 10- 20% more.

Yeah, will do it after raya holiday. Just wondering will they entertain me since mine set is HK version and not MY set. Aready contact T&L seller and guess what!!??
They gave me bullshit reason the buyer info not match their receipt invoice in system. Damn it, I’m the owner and purchase from account Qoo10. Email is mine, name is mine, contact number is mine. I’m the one who open boxing and registered in apple.com and the Apple ID is my email.
So stress and annoying.

If I’m lucky enough the switch apple reseller give me a replacement set, but is not dual sim but esim version which different from my current model, should I take the deal???
*
APR might not entertain you since it is not a local set. If they do, getting a local set replacement is your best option. For me, eSim is even a better choice than dual sim, local telcos are slowly adapting it.

Wondering how convenient eSim is. What if I restore the phone or erase all contents (restore to factory settings)? Usually it will happen when the phone got problem or you accidentally remove some important stuff and you need to restore back to older backup. Or just simply got issue and need to wipe out the phone and setting it back.

Will the telco that I subscribed eSim to still active? Or I need to walk in the telco center to scan the new QR code to reactive back my line?
*
if it is factory reset, you need the telco to give you the eSim barcode again.
then again, factory reset is not something users do often, i can’t remember i last did a factory reset.
