Bro, any issues with condensation forming around the phone when mounted at air vent? My experience dated back to the day I had a toyota hilux, and at that time I was using I think it was a Nokia 6500. Anyway, hilux have those built in cup holders just in front of the ac vent. this was where I put my phone. Then one day I realised that it was fogging behind the lcd. Then I stopped doing that. Didn't know wheter that issue affected the phone or not as I sold it off after the incident. Those phones have removable batts, therefore there are air present. And I am sure the smartphones nowadays are not vacuum air tight.

No. never experienced it. I think you have a point about older phones with removable batteries - the gap allows for the cold air to get in hence the vapor forms and what not. What I do notice though is for my other Android phone with rear fingerprint reader, the cold air from the aircond causes the fingerprint reader to be less sensitive after a while when it's too cold biggrin.gif

I'm using this spider in my aircond vent for the past 4-5 years. No issue with condensation, it keeps my phone cool (but not cold), and it never freezes/condensation as I don't turn aircond below 20C. Normally 20-22C only. The spider allows as much air flow to the phone, as compared to other phone holders which completely blocks the phone and the aircond is only cooling the top part of the phone.

Even if the phone isn’t IP67 rated as long as it has a non-removable battery I think it should be OK if left exposed to air-conditioning. Of course, immersing it in water is another story altogether laugh.gif

Main reasons why fresh grads is in high debt within months of work. Personally buying any stuffs below rm10k should not consider any installment. Best is to save up for it
During my time (80's)  cars needed 30% down payment and interest rate was a massive 11% versus now many local makes zero down payment and 2 to 3% interest. This had caused high debt for fresh grads. I rode a bike for 2 years before buying first car. A handphone than cost rm6k+ and company supplied car phone costing rm13k . These days too many gadgets in less than rm4k range attracting consumers
*
Yeah,thanks for the elaboration thumbsup.gif
As a conclusion, the more your debt, the less your shame (fresh grad logic) brows.gif

Air tight yes, it should be since rated at ip67, whether it is vacuum sealed internally, not so sure. If it is not vacuum, then there is air, and there will be water too.

Which type of SP is recommended? Full screen SP (which covers almost 100% bezel) or the other SP with the cutout (which is slightly smaller and only covers partly the bezel).

My concerns is that with the full screen versions, would it affects when using casing? Also how easy to install it yourself? Thanks for any input.

Question about wireless charging and for those using it.

Does the phone gets hot whilst charging? Apple stated that their phone can only charge up to max 7.5watts and in the market we can purchase 5w, 10w and 15w charging pads.

I have a 10w Rock Space woreless pad which my mom doen't use. So was thinking whether it is worthwhile to use it.

I highly recommend Belkin TCP 2.0 at Machines. Fast and flawless installation and 2 year warranty for 1 free replacement if the glass breaks.

Take note not all wireless chargers can push 7.5watts to iphone even though the wireless charger spec is 10watts.
Thats why those belkin wireless chargers are expensive and specifically mention can output 7.5watts for iphone

I’m using the TG from spigen. Fairly easy to apply yourself. It’s full screen.

Thanks for the heads up. Probably best use those wireless pads that are recommended by Apple.
