No idea, but same as you, I don’t back up photos on my iCloud at the moment too

Yeah, i am skeptical too. Wont it take super long lets say i fill up like 50GB of photo.
To restore it i will need 2 months of my data.

Better be safe than sorry, my own experience,

My wife using iCloud, the backup and restore really killing me and takes ages to complete

Myself using Google, backup and restore superb and I could use easily with cross-platform

I think the point is to backup or restore only over WiFi bro, hahaha...

But even Apple admits that even with the strongest connection, it might still take 1 to 4 hours per gigabyte to complete the process.

It’s reasonable as long as you think that it’s not overpaid. My wife and I are sharing using the 200GB plan. Basically it’s all because the hassle free thingy. I’ve tried backup her phone and I straightaway purchased the plan. No more headache since then. Lolol

Yes it is. Especially when you have literally your whole life backed up in iCloud.

Normally I’ll just watch a movie on my tv while performing the backup/restore. So, it’s pretty much manageable. Haha
