Yeah, I read at the site as well and I was told the same by Blake at Blaze City last Saturday. But I got the UNCONFIRMED schedule today. 

No worries la, I'm sure the boss will confirm it very soon, okies? 

It's good to have on Saturday, a weekend day which many pple can join but there could be shortage of time for Top 16 and Finals as well.

I think qualifier will be held on friday..then grand final starts on saturday and continue to sunday..Giler meh if grand final just 1 day only..very penat woo...summore there is 3 games, nfs, fifa and cnc..unless blake wanna start at 7am on sunday...

we have very limited time to run our prelims. players please stay put, right after the Lowyat Prelim is done, we will proceed to the FINAL 16 right away.

prize giving ceremony will be on sunday, roughly abt 4.30 pm.  we gotta cater to the dead line.

the lucky draw for the 360 will be right after the prize giving ceremony.

oh BTW, for the 1st winners, u will be collecting your Celgames 07 PC on the SPOT on sunday itself, den no more complain y the pc take so long to assemble

this will be the format of the final top 16.

fifa :- home & away knockout for the top 16. (random live draw)

nfsc :- best of 3 knockout for the top 16 (random live draw)

c&c3 :- best of 3 knockout for the top 16 (random live draw)

nope, it will be a single elimination.

i m afraid we may not have time for it. + i m sure the lost connection problem with the fifa will slow things down even more.

IF we proceed with the competition today, we will still have time for a double elim.

but we tried to cater for everyone to come, so we push it to saturday. and for fifa we have about 48 players already. 

no problem..
well, i myself wish to play double elim, as it would be more challenging and the loser of the first round would have a chance to climb back up.

but time is something we dont have u see. summore we are running everything one shot on saturday itself.

@ MMU we have almost the same amount of PCs and we were running home & away,with the lost connection issues, it really frustrated the gamers & the marshals as well. and it took 2 days to complete.

so.. the best we can do now, is to stick with home & away , knockout stage, ( world cup does that too?)

what do u tink about best of 3? for top 16?

well, i m quite flexible on the tournament format,

the tournament was organised for gamers.

so, when the top 16 is annouced, we can always have a quick & short briefing on the tournament format.

we can go by votes. the 2 teams to decide which you guys prefered.

but we really dun have time for a double elim. we still can drag the time abit for best of 3.

so, we have 2 options..  home & away single elim. if draw, we will determine the winners by the away goals.

OR

we'll have best of 3 games. player win 2 times, he wins the round. aways goals arent implemented.

so in the end, i'll let the majority of the players to decide for the 2 options

but do bear 1 thing in mind. all goals will be taken into account even if u score the first goal within 1 minute n u dc. so play carefully.

Hmm...I dont think any rules need 2 be change last minute..since b4 da prelims..most of da players have already accepted and da rules(QW not allowed in own half but any others kind of long ball is allowed) is been implement during da prelims..i dont think its good 2 change da rules for da grand finals,as this will not be fair 2 those that work hard practising on it.

I dont use da long ball frequently as some of da players..but i stil think da rules shud be stand as it is=).

Just an opinion from me...no offence 2 any1=).

the rules implemented for the celgames was practise and used @ all the prelims. if its better for all, den we'll stick to it.

most importantly is the format.

if we want a quick & simple game n dun bother abt the gamers, we'll jst stick with the home & away and wont provide u an option of best of 3

jst wana provide the community of fifa players an option since they have supported us for so many years.
