Lemme start first. If you watched Naruto and like ska music, listen the the second last ending of Naruto (the original, not shippuden). It is "Pinocho" by Ore Ska Band. Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. One of their songs, Lupin the III is worth listening to. So is Tiny Elephant Parade.

tim armstrong 1st solo album, the poet's life is good.actually i'm kinda having trouble to differentiate between ska, punk, ska-punk, and any other stuff that sounds quite similar

Japanese ska bands Got a bunch of Japanese friends that plays ska/ska-punk there. I watched Ore Ska Band live last summer. Took a picture with Tomi-chan, bassist.
