I've seen equal number of those who don't care and those who are particular about eating in cars, regardless of what food it is.

Not so much a rule, but common courtesy lah to ask for permission.
It's most likely the drivers personal vehicle and he's particular about cleanliness.

If you asked and he was rude, you have every right to be pissed off.

If you didn't ask and started eating then he told you off, equal blame on both parties.. him for being rude, and to you TS for not being considerate/courteous enough to ask first.

2nd question , is parking fees need to pay by passenger ?

of coz.....any entrance fee or toll need to be pay by the passenger

Grab is driver's own private car, so of course they will be more careful not to let ppl eat. Some people eat like nobody's business and wipe here and there making the car dirty, although some will be more careful and make sure food doesn't spill. Try do that in a taxi and you see what happen.
Any aditional fee like tol, parking, entrance fee etc, passenger have to bear. That's the price for cheaper transport.

if u dirty driver car = indirectly messing his livelihood (low rating)

be a more considerate rider la. we not working for charity. will make our day if the rider is compassionate.

How you feel if suddenly you saw cockroaches crawling inside your car? It has never happen before driving for grab. Why they suddenly appear in our own car?

what make u think u are allow to eat in other ppl car while u just sharing the ride.

No offense, so far only certain race will eat directly without asking at all. And of course always some left over on my car seats...

TS should come and fetch me, then i eat mcdonald french fries and bread, leave the crumb at your car seat and carpet, what do u feel?

OMG! Some riders really think they have the right to create mess in our car and disrespecting the drivers because they are paying fare to us.

nah, eating with cautious, if passenger make dirty , passenger will clean it , your assumption is if passenger make it dirty, then grab driver can complain it.

some driver do not charge for some fees, only tolls, i had to assume it is free sometimes.

If uber they will charge passenger for cleaning fee

you make his whole car that smell how he's going to fetch his next customer with that smell?

last time i eat potato chips in a bus and get scold by bus driver and say smell is strong

dahell chips so smelly one?? unless I put it in front of my nose I just can smell the salty smell from it, how dahell he smell it from that far, i was sitting at rear of bus.

agreed, it's a common rules in all public transport, eat/drink is not allowed.

your assumption is wrong, eating or drinking is totally not allowed , you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that actually...and i highly doubt people with your mentality will eat with cautious or clean up, driver do charge other fees other than tolls, eg: cleaning fee: RM200-300 (i did that before and Grab allowed it) , entrance fee to certain establishment like KTM Padang Jawa,( as pick up inside is exclusive to taxis only, that place kena Pau d) , waiting time fee, change destination fee and many more
