Hi, I planning to switch my Unifi to Maxis Fiber soon.
Looking that they provide backup 4G LTE modem, can we use it somewhere else?

My kind of working nature allow me to move around, and sometime station at hometown for long period.
And if using this, wonder if I can survive by bring the Modem around with me.

the 4G backup is not legally use for taking around. Maxis may terminate your service if they found the fraud.

You can downgrade (if you did not tie to any contract now) to MaxisOne 98

because in MaxisOne Prime plan, regardless 98 or 128, both plan will gain unlimited quota.

I see thanks. So without using the 4G backup sim, i can get another MaxisOne share 48 for wifi hotspot. Does this prime postpaid plan got 30mpbs speed limit just like it fiber 89 plan?

Surfable? If it can still stream at 480p then it's still unlimited data with limited speed.

Anyway i'm currently using digi infinite and my household data usage is around 200gb/month for
- web video streaming
- netflix tv and phone
- youtube

I don't torrent and download things so i don't think my usage will exceed 300gb quota.

I'll try the wireless 4g backup first, if it got banned i'll get that maxisone share. Thank you again.

Ouhh, Aiyaa sad laa like this.
But it's okey, still worth it with unlimited internet on mobile too if not mistaken.

I can terminate my unifi RM139 & Celcom RM110 per month, focus on Maxis 89+98 only.

I already got this 4G Wireless backup dongle and the sim is already activated but the dongle didn't work with Maxis router.

I've already tried the sim with modded modem and handphone, all working. The dongle work with laptop too.

Do i need to set something in the Maxis router to make it detect and connect with the usb dongle?

If the dongle can perform the top of the network then that will be great, since the stock modem given so no need waste by buying another 4G modem.
