QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 25 2018, 04:38 PM) Boost in Finance section? I thought it will remain in /k because they don't want to move here? Anyway it's about time to have proper discussion here. For TnG related discussion, we have two running threads at the sub-section of Credit Card/Debit Card/Loyalty Card. How about other popular e-wallets like Fave, GrabPay and TnG e-wallet? Somebody should open too, I think currently Boost, Fave, GrabPay, TnG and WeChat Pay are the popular ones in Malaysia. I think no value of opening another separate for TnG e-wallet. P/S: Just my 2 cents ... This post has been edited by David83: Nov 25 2018, 04:51 PM |

Fave cash back is troublesome.
It has two types: general cash back and merchant specific cash back. |

QUOTE(Neptern @ Nov 25 2018, 10:15 PM) Just used boost at pak kin pak san cafe. Almost can't use because said the payment terminal hang during peak hours. Afterwards tried again then ok. Could be their own cash register software hanged. Not sure if this is a boost problem because the credit card terminal also same issue. |

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Nov 26 2018, 11:07 AM) https://boostbusiness.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/...Boost-merchant- BNM needs to jack up their enforcement if they want their cashless roadmap and framework to be successful! That's just pathetic lol, but I remember that Boost is strict about merchants imposing a minimal amount for their payment service, looks like someone from Boost taught them a lesson. It's illegal to impose a minimal amount for every payment methods anyways, if they still dare to do that for cards, it means that BNM is not strict enough. |

QUOTE(laymank @ Nov 26 2018, 03:46 PM) Twice I encountered at The Chicken Rice shop at Nu Sentral Mall. At Tesco self checkout machine?Upon payment , then only took out the payment terminal, power on, wait for it (like 5 minutes), login then pay. Luckily there was no customer queuing behind. eWallet is supposed to make payment faster, but it has became the other way round. Experience in Tesco was great though, scan it yourself! From the payment menu, how many square icons are there? I saw 3 only. |

EFT is the 2nd /middle icon at Payment Method page at self checkout counter. The same button you tapped for CC payment too.
Just tried my first experience of Boost/TnG Wallet at Tesco. It wasn't a smooth and pleasant experience. Tried on 1st booth. Always Error #97 The staff on duty asked me to switch to another machine. The 2nd booth. Always re-connecting. Then he called his supervisor. The supervisor restarted the CIMB POS. Same problem: Always re-connecting. I asked if it's ready. She said already got customer tried and successful before. Then, she asked to go back to the 1st booth to try again but with prompt with Error #97. Then, she restarted the CIMB POS and finally, the transaction went through. I suspected could be the POS jammed or what. |

The CIMB POS and their cash register system run independently.
If you get Error 97 on the CIMB POS, doesn't mean that their cash register system got problem. Anyhow, from the CC printout, there's a CARDPAY by GHL under CIMB logo. And, it stated TNGWALLET as the payment instead of conventional VISA/MASTERCARD/AMEX |

Just now, I received a notification from Boost saying "Thank you for paying with Boost" and being rewarded with a Shake Reward.
The Shake Reward I got is RM 10. I'm not sure where this reward came from? This post has been edited by David83: Nov 27 2018, 06:07 PM |

QUOTE(#Victor @ Nov 27 2018, 06:32 PM) Wow, u're so lucky. Ppl who die hard participate don't get anything, but ppl that din aware always got rewarded Thanks but maybe because I rarely use the app.Just now I'm getting more hyped as Tesco supported the payment and installed FavePay recently. It's so fun to use Boost than use BigPay! |
