QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Mar 1 2019, 09:18 AM) Interested to know how Boost is gonna respond to this... I already respond, ask us don click suspecious link blah3. But to the users who are using phones with fingerprint scanners, it's better to start using it from now on for better security... And also never ever let anyone know your 6 digit transaction PIN, even if you wanna top up your Boost Wallet outside, do be caution at all times. Not sure if this consider as "response". |

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Mar 1 2019, 09:45 AM) A generic and common response, I would say... Sorry typo, i mean "it"...Btw, what happened to your account? They wanna do like Samsung Pay, which only requires fingerprint authentication or PIN to make transactions... And with such case, Favepay is also at risk I guess, since it doesn't even require PIN for authentication... For the time being, do use fingerprint authentication for Boost, if your phone supports it. touch wood Nothing happened to my account, yet. TBH I think transaction without OTP is good as long as the app is secure enough. So, please DO NOT share or use obvious pin in the first place. |

QUOTE(jasmineh2y @ Mar 1 2019, 11:47 AM) No, he mean top up his Wife's Boost, then use money in wallet to top up mobile. QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Mar 1 2019, 12:57 PM) You mean Google Pay? Boost only require TAC when u add CC for the first time. Boost used to do require TAC back then if I'm not wrong, then they removed it for some reason. Next time u wanna reload no need TAC. Maybe it's wiser to send require TAC for wallet top up. Althou it's possible to intercept TAC sms, but it may at least make it harder. This post has been edited by xeon1989: Mar 1 2019, 02:12 PM |

QUOTE(jishu @ Mar 2 2019, 05:54 PM) Hi all forumers Do guys have any comment on this? See the tweet about the recent scam, involving Boost: https://twitter.com/azrisamsuri/status/1100772397316067328 The person involved didn't even have Boost account in the first place, but still got hacked like that..... I know it's entirely on CIMB and it's data leak, but do you think Boost buff up their security due to this? TBH ayam felt like uninstalling and removed my attached card after reading that QUOTE(theng168 @ Mar 2 2019, 06:22 PM) sometime there're consumer / customer dunno what they're talking and always put all the blames to provider / seller. This is definitely not full story of the incident. Some scammer case / hack / etc... the victim might only share half of the story, the other half where they being greedy / careless, never share to the world. This make the whole investigation much more harder. It looks to me like phishing case. Let's see if there're any updates later QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Mar 2 2019, 06:48 PM) Uh, I just topped up, and the usual SMS notification comes in... It depends on the number Boost bought for sending out system messages. But why this time the sender number starts from +47 though? Isn't that country code from Denmark? Boost, whatchu doin there brah? Offshore numbers are cheaper than...said Malaysian number. |

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Mar 3 2019, 06:03 PM) No way Boost is sustainable if keep on giving high amount of CB.However, Boost riding Malaysian's mindset for free money, will eventually backfire whenever they lower/eliminate CB. Don't get me wrong, it's defnitely good to get huge userbase during market entry with freebies, but they should also keep existing user with things they should honor. (such as good customer service towards merchant and user, as less glitch as possible, missing promotional CB...) |

QUOTE(xperiaDROID @ Mar 3 2019, 11:11 PM) Among the competition, Boost is still safe for the time being, thanks to their shake reward and cashback promos. But if they can't fix their current flaws (like customer service and buggy app which doesn't automatically give out cashbacks sometimes), they will get backfired for sure. Glad that we have same thought I have to admit that I'm loyal to Boost currently, it's sort of like "investing" on it and hope it can become an e wallet that blends into our daily lives in the future, when I face the flaws (mostly on merchant's side), I'll just accept the fact that e wallets here are still in their infant stage. Unless they do something really really bad which is unacceptable, then I'll stop using it. Other than that, I'll keep using it. So, hope they can use their brains and know how to appreciate that people are still giving them chances even though they're far from being a good e wallet. Us as consumer play important role to pave the road to cashless solution. Market is quite chaotic for now, but it's getting more acceptance by merchant. Good for us too |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Mar 4 2019, 10:35 PM) Look for "Hong Leong Bank Beaute Essential" but note that you have to pay with HLB card. Cannot use Boost for this so no shake reward. new year over d bang.Boost 8x8 is back! Oops, nevermind, it's not. I saw it in the top right corner, thought it was back.. No more huat. talk about new year, the lion orange game is interesting way to get ppl involved in competition (instead of angpow game that limits number of "play"). they only need to improve server stability over time, and make sure game itself won't affect vital function such as reload or payment. Feel it the hard way as I stucked in Old Town WC the last day of Feb. |

First time try to pay TM Phone bill with Boost.
5 min after payment, status change from "Pending" to "Paid". However, I didn't receive receipt or invoice for this. Did you guys normally get invoice after payment? in email? How long before you receive it? Edit: Nvm, invoice received after 20 min. Thanks guys! This post has been edited by xeon1989: Apr 7 2019, 10:02 PM |

QUOTE(ProxMatoR @ Apr 7 2019, 10:55 PM) i wonder if you should remove the alphabet... Account number of Telephone bill is in alphanumeric.not sure, as telephone bills and unifi are all pure numbers for account numbers. have you tried search within the support in the app? I guess there should have answer My previous telephone bill able to pay. I checked support and apparently for streamyx and unifi, it only recognize number only.
