They wanna do like Samsung Pay, which only requires fingerprint authentication or PIN to make transactions...

And with such case, Favepay is also at risk I guess, since it doesn't even require PIN for authentication...

For the time being, do use fingerprint authentication for Boost, if your phone supports it.

The person involved didn't even have Boost account in the first place, but still got hacked like that.....
I know it's entirely on CIMB and it's data leak, but do you think Boost buff up their security due to this?

TBH ayam felt like uninstalling and removed my attached card after reading that

sometime there're consumer / customer dunno what they're talking and always put all the blames to provider / seller.
Some scammer case / hack / etc... the victim might only share half of the story, the other half where they being greedy / careless, never share to the world. This make the whole investigation much more harder.

Among the competition, Boost is still safe for the time being, thanks to their shake reward and cashback promos. But if they can't fix their current flaws (like customer service and buggy app which doesn't automatically give out cashbacks sometimes), they will get backfired for sure.

I have to admit that I'm loyal to Boost currently, it's sort of like "investing" on it and hope it can become an e wallet that blends into our daily lives in the future, when I face the flaws (mostly on merchant's side), I'll just accept the fact that e wallets here are still in their infant stage. Unless they do something really really bad which is unacceptable, then I'll stop using it.

Other than that, I'll keep using it. So, hope they can use their brains and know how to appreciate that people are still giving them chances even though they're far from being a good e wallet.

Look for "Hong Leong Bank Beaute Essential" but note that you have to pay with HLB card. Cannot use Boost for this so no shake reward.
