this is infra/backend migration, 14hrs is considered short.

a lot of things need to do and verify, especially when financial ledgers, transactions, records tallies after migration
*
that's the thing, if it's a big migration like infra/backend migration
it should be done parallel to minimize the downtime

all of old data should be already mirrored to the new server before the cut off time, and should have ample time to perform any verification

anyway... what are they doing behind we don't know unless we are working inside, but it seems the apps is up, but now it's keep loading instead of the maintenance page

There you go, everytimes goes an update or upgrade, will include testing and bug fixed if caught.  whistling.gif
*
it's just a way of covering their asses

it's a lot more easier to blame it on the bugs

chances are something serious happened during the upgrade process, probably a failed restore, and need another 6 hours to fix it

come to see their schedule, 12am to 2pm, 14 hours... 6 hours max to backup the old DB, 6 hours max to restore to the new DB, 2 hours allowance
so probably one of the process went wrong badly, DB restore failed maybe, and need another 6 hours to restore it
well... just maybe

or maybe the engineer spilled their teh tarik tapau ikat tepi on the server causing short circuits? laugh.gif

If you pay today, Kuching Water Board will show you they receive the payment today in next bill. But the meter reader may upload the payment records a few days earlier before reaching your premise, so your payment record in the latest bill may be not up-to-date.

There is no way to check your outstanding balance online or confirm if KWB receive the payment from Boost unless you visit KWB CS at Batu Lintang.
*
yeah, KWB's payment system is horrible & slowpoke

overpaid in last two bills via Boost, yet my latest bill still didn't reflect it

paid via online banking also only reflect the status after few days

Maybank butthurt more ppl use Boost than their crappy QRPay laugh.gif

anyway, any other banks that still give points for ewallet reload still will get a lot of business wink.gif

Nothing much to loose for us Boost users, just Maybank side will loose more since lesser users of their CC for ewallet reloads

Anyway, just no more 3X treatpoints for Amex cards, but you still have other VISA/MS cards that can reload into BP debit card, that still rewards some points, right?

Use the BP to reload Boost then wink.gif

no names. just publicity photos

1st winner below. no more thereafter.

my buddy was a veteran in local marcom community

he told me some of the mega prize giveaway are for shows only
or some of the winner list are fakes
eg: main prize winner: Ahmad Fauzi IC: 770111-10-XXXX
what's the chances of having a rando guy name Ahmad Fauzi matching that IC number? none!

some are fakes ceremony with prize just for show giving to own employee/family members
and actually they don't have the actual main mega prize, and has no intention of giving it out
just the smaller cheaper prizes are real
to encourage ppl to spend more to have that dream of scoring the main mega prize which is a house or a car laugh.gif

and I personally seen a case that one of the local company here announcing the winner of a main prize car a Myvi,
which is actually my friend who works for that company laugh.gif
she did get the car in this case, but it's considered a company car given to her as part of her job promotion package laugh.gif doh.gif

Anyone participant in this “Shop at Watsons & Enjoy RM10 Cashback”?

T&C says cashback within 3 working days but I have been waiting since 7 July, i.e. already 6 working days.

There's only one row to put code.
How you can put two codes?
*
my bad, confused with shopee
Lazada only one field to key in the code, so means cannot stack with other offers

Sharing my recent experience paying using Boost for RM899 at SenQ

It seems their terminal is unstable, scanned 2 times, terminal nothing come out, but on my Boost app is successful, but refund immediately, only the 3rd attempt is successful.

and a few days later when trying to pay for KFC lunch belanja friend, rejected and was told I've reached the RM4500 monthly limit, I was WTF?!
Malu! have to let my friend belanja using his Boost instead doh.gif

I've never spend so much this month, after checking, it seems the failed/refunded transactions are also included in your monthly limit doh.gif

so beware of that if you're scanning for higher amount and have multiple failures.

Luckily now it's near end of month, few more days for reset, else if few weeks cannot use Boost really rugi doh.gif

it seems Boost won't be giving out cashback shake automatically after the upgrade, instead will be giving out coins that you can use to redeem cashback or other stuffs doh.gif
more like CC points already sad.gif

and their bloody IT team is useless, still haven't learn from the past upgrade incident, another delay shakehead.gif

GrabPay should be around 3rd or 4th

This chart is inaccurate to put GrabPay as the top ewallet
it's at the top based on apps usage due to the almost monopoly of the e-hailing service, not the mention the GrabFood service also

What's your boost up level now?

RM250 paid in one go?

one go, paying for my kids daycare booking fees
still Level 1 only

you'll need to transact 20 times for a total of RM1k to level up

Boost can get such big user base is due to the instant cashback, that's the main pull

now they take away the instant cashback, not much incentive to use it anymore, it's just too similar to using a CC and their points

they can expect the user base to drop significantly, and most will migrate to the other e-wallet that offers more cashback

paid RM500 x 2 just now @ Level 4

I got 1000 coins x 2 for the transactions, 1st shake got zero coin, but 2nd shake got extra 500 coins

So I've gotten 2500 coins for the RM1000 I've just paid, that's RM25 if I redeem the coins into my Boost wallet

used to only get less than RM10 cashback for that amount I've been paying monthly via Boost, so IMO this time round the return is much better, if you're at Level 4

if you're at lower level, aint worth it anymore
