Can't decide between used CR-Z or new Myvi?
Please help ! cry.gif icon_question.gif

Does CR-Z has reliability issues especially about the battery?

Or just go the safe road and just wait for 3 month waiting list Myvi?

Or is there any better alternative than those 2, preferably 1500cc and below (subsidy reasons)(finger crossed).

This is my first car hunting BTW. icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks in advanced. biggrin.gif

How old are you? Do you usually have any passengers with you or just alone or 2 people?

Reliability wise, of course Myvi is better hands down. My 2013 crz gave me no probs so far.
But do keep in mind, if you want crz means you are getting a used unit compared to brand new Myvi.

So, i vote for Myvi.

Remember CR-Z you have to take care of it, unless you know the owner and if she/he has taken good care of the car - you would wanna invest

Else I just say invest on the myvi - can't go wrong

Seeing a decision between a used CRZ and new myvi.
Seem like you are a bit clueless. No offense though.
Being both are cater to a different crowd.

For the purpose of others and me to give an alternative.
What is your purpose of buying a car?
Requirements? (Etc, cheap parts? cheap maintance? low fuel comsumption? boot space?)

If clueless about cars, stick with Myvi.

Just get the Myvi, its a nice looking car with plenty of safety features already, much improved over the previous generations and good value for money for new car.

CRZ is more complicated, and remember for used car you need to be prepared for the hybrid battery issue/replacement already. If ok with used car, might as well just get a Suzuki Swift Sport ZC32S, way much better than a CRZ and still more traditional and therefore easy car to maintain.

How did you end up cross shopping a 2 door hybrid hatchback to a 4 door hatchback?

Both cars drive way way way different. It’s like asking if you should buy shorts or swimming trunks. Friend has a first batch manual CR-Z, no problems other than normal service and tires.

I think you need to tell us more about what you want.

If you want practicality, buy the Myvi. It’s the most practical car in Malaysia and will soon enjoy the 1.5L fuel subsidy. If you need to fetch people then it’s the Myvi, you can’t really fit adults in the rear seats of the CR-Z unless they are bilateral amputees below the knee.

If you like the looks of the CR-Z, buy that. Tho I must warn you that it’s all show no go. Better off with the manual.

True, i also wonder why comparing between the two different segment. But after quick search on mudah and seeing the price is about the same, so i guess that why you considering between the two?

Myvi, yup too common on the road but that is the safest bet with the warranty and maintenance and all.

Crz? Of course more gaya but are you prepared to face all the hidden and surprise cost of maintenance? If you are by all means, take a trusted expert friend along to inspect the car before you buy and get it. If "biar papa asal bergaya" came to your mind i strongly suggest get myvi

That’s like saying shorts and swimming trunks same price so cross shop them.

although both achieve the same result i.e covering you, you can’t go to a swimming pool in shorts or go into a mall with swimming trunks. Well you *could*.

Just like how you *could* fit 4 adults in a CR-Z but it’s pretty retarded.

TS go for practicality, new Myvi.

If u are rich and have extra cash to spare then get the CR-Z lo, because after few years there will be replacements like battery that will got you a bomb for the CR-Z, which may cost as much as the car itself by then.
