hye, i sent my resume on the IT Analyst post in HSBC, they called me for an interview.

when i got there, they interviewed me as a global support executive. i was confused. i put my expected salary in my resume as RM2000 (nego) and they said it is too high (i thought it was IT Analyst position!).

i called the HR to clear things up, she said she doesnt know why is the mis-communication happened :|

then i go on with the interview. they offered RM1600. im a fresh IT graduate and a degree holder.

my friend who also hired by HSBC 4 months ago, (also fresh IT grad degree) had a salary of RM1800 for entry level.

so i was thinking is this an 'OK' salary for entry level of a degree holder ? why is the starting salary had decrease in just 4 months ?

of course my main goal is to gain experience, but since im not from KL, i have to start a life here in KL and i wonder if RM1600 is enough ?

is the salary will be increase in the future ? based on performance ?

should i take the offer ?
