pataya3913...try to give the HR a call to check what is the status of your application...heard the hiring process will take some time, but at least call them up to confirm instead of guessing...

by the way guys, please don't mix up HSBC Malaysia and HDPM (HSBC Data Processing (M) Sdn Bhd). They are two totally different companies and are not inter-related. HDPM's main site is in Cyberjaya while there's a second site in Bursa Malaysia building.

HDPM is not all about data-entry and call centre...there are also back end processing stuff (both simple and complicated). So it really depends on which department/ COE and team you are assigned to...

and currently, from what i know, the minimum salary for entry level has been increased to RM2.1K for GBM (Global Banking and Markets) and HSS (HSBC Securities Services) which is a great improvement from the previous years...and depending on your performance, there will be enhancements (increment) to your salary twice a year...

Currently, HSBC Data Processing (M) Sdn Bhd is renting the 5th to 8th floors in Bursa building...

there's like operations teams from HSS, Securities etc...

why high turnover? most probably because of the hours (UK, US, Canada) and having a family...

if they did not mention to you the job description, just go for the interview and see what they offer you...if you like it, then you can take up the offer...if not, you can always reject the offer...

basically, will be executive position...but what kind of work will depend on the department...e.g. call centre, back end processing, etc

Hi there, I just receive an SMS, told me that HSBC is arranging an open interview this weekend, in Cyberjaya, behind IBM company.

AFAIK, I apply for a job name HSBC customer service, so I guess its HSBC GSE?

my Q is, since its an open interview, what should I bring there?
my Diploma cert and ....? Resume?

and oh, my last Q is, must we wear formal suit to the interview? its Weekend though tongue.gif

hi...

not sure if the job that you applied for "HSBC Customer service" is the same as HSBC GSE...

bring all your documents there e.g. certificates, qualifications, resume just in case you need them...it's still an interview right???

although it's a weekend, i'd advise you to go for formal attire e.g. long sleeve shirt, long pants and tie...first impressions are always important to help you get a job...

good luck ya! cheers

ohhh, beside 3pm - 12am shfit, what else shift they have eh? biggrin.gif

whatever shift...you name it...haha...US, Canada, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Paris, HK...etc

depends on your luck (and which dept/ process requires manpower) which shift/ dept/ process you will be assigned to....

if you really need a job and the shift is still acceptable, i'd suggest you take the offer and 1 year later, make request for lateral move to other depts with the shift that you like...

if you want the job... cool2.gif

always remember...first impressions are important, then your qualifications and whether the interviewer feels that you could work with the team...

if i'm not mistaken, you only get shift allowance if you work US shift...

there's actually shuttle service to drop you somewhere...so you need to check this out...then maybe you can arrange for someone to fetch you from the pick up/ drop off point...if not, it's better you drive...

you're on rotation with your team mates is it?

which dept and process? cyber or klc?
