got a call from them for an interview appointment, and was told that salary is 1.6k only.
Its quite low isnt it? I read previous pages about language allowance... what does that mean?
and is it likely to transfer to other HSBC finance department?
Lastly, will this be a good start for fresh grads?

QUOTE(aiko_18 @ Feb 1 2010, 08:51 PM) I went and according to them, we are working as a team. if u r a chinese speaker, then you will be working for Hong Kong team. It is a back end office work, means u hav to face your PC whole day, serving HSBC business partner on securities about their entitlement and so on. Ya I aplied for the chinese 1 but I'm not good in speaking Cantonese. I heard we cant bring handphone along wit us during working hour. Is that true?

QUOTE(babymiki @ Mar 11 2010, 06:29 PM) HSS is a very good dept to join. But there's one dept that is definitely not recommended to join they're eliminating quarterly bonus and i heard some of them only get very little increment which dept of hss huh? i'm now in hss but i think anyone can do the job. no need a degree or diploma graduates. No offense thou. Added on March 13, 2010, 11:39 amQUOTE(rfL @ Mar 12 2010, 09:42 PM) Which is better, HSBC HSS or Maybank IB? I just got the job offers for both, but my dad is leaning more towards HSBC while i prefer Maybank I will go Maybank IB.... more future.... HSS more like data entry thou they say its data maintenance but to me its the same. This post has been edited by cristiano7mu: Mar 13 2010, 11:39 AM

Added on March 25, 2010, 10:54 amQUOTE(cheryl08 @ Mar 21 2010, 11:10 PM) hi cristiano7mu, seems you're quite tense up doing nothing over there, probably they just merge with GBM. But once it officially started I believe you have no time to relax, for every back end do have their target, which is daily volume & RPH (rate per hour), I think it's applicable to HSS as well. not tense up.... is bored... ya since then i'd been ot almost everyday. QUOTE(cheryl08 @ Mar 25 2010, 09:46 PM) I'm from Spore process, last year transfer from call center, almost 1 year already. Plan to apply lateral transfer again, if can new migration, that will be the best. I'm facing the same problem too, take some time to get my gwis swipe card & hub id, during the first week my job just sitting there & observed how others do Data Entry etc etc. At call center no such thing happen, I get aspect phone id & LN setup during my 1 month class training, so by the time we start on floor, everything ready, so after a month we start taking call already... so cristiano7mu, which process are you, GBM??? Added on March 25, 2010, 9:53 pmnope, GSE stands for (Global Support Executive)- it's a job position, whereas HSBC is company name. For your info, HDPM & HSBC Malaysia is different entity, HDPM is a data centre which is also subsidiary of HSBC Group. Hope my explanation solve your question.. Hmmm I will PM you... dont want other GSE know who I am.... hahaha Added on March 26, 2010, 1:22 amQUOTE(tehoice @ Mar 25 2010, 10:06 PM) ohh gwis and hub, i'm from GBM now, cos our recons team merged (HSS and GBM) last year. GSE stands for Global support executive. cheryl08, which process r u from again? i think we talked previously, did we? ooo think u r bit left side of 3rd floor. Mine is at the right side. QUOTE(needalappie @ Mar 16 2011, 01:32 AM) the pay review is out already, going to enjoy it this month salary... the increment ranges is from as low 10% up till 38%, this is what i heard... mine??? P&C, hehehehehe how bout HSS? 30%? before i left HSS heard they are going to group the HSS allowance into basic. If this is true I should be getting more than 2.5 if i stayed last year.
