EDIT - 28 Feb 2010

I seldom online on forum nowadays. My apology as my response to your PM maybe very slow.

For your easy references, the following is the useful link on the job listing. Click on any of the position, it will list out the job descriptions and qualifications requirement and you may deposit your resume by clicking 'Apply Now'.

http://www.hsbcglobalresourcing.com/hotjobsall.aspx?ctry=MAL

EDIT - 27 April 2011

I still receiving numerous PMs asking to send your CV over to HR. I already provided the link above in order for you gentlemen and ladies to submit your CV for application. My apology not forwarding your CV anymore because it is much more easier for HR to process your job application this way as in my experience there are a lot of redundancy in application. Some of you have also posted some Q&A to me on the job and how would the interview like. I would not be able to disclose or share any session with you as it is depending on the interviewer and hiring manager.

I wish you best of luck in your future undertakings and starting your career with HSBC Global Resourcing.

I guess working anywhere also got politics. I go to office do my work and go home. Politics or what is just a matter you want to join the rest or die. For me I chose not to give a damn. What I concerned is at the end of the month I got my salary credited to my account blink.gif

So anyone interested may PM me. I will give necessary info and forward to HR if you want to apply for a job there.

It's not easy to find a job out there now

Minimum qualification is SPM and the salary is based on your qualification.

Work is based on shift allocated to you. If you are assigned to Asia Pacific business area, then you gotta work normal hours else it's depends on the business area you have been assigned to.

Anyone interested may drop me a PM. I will help to forward your resume to HR but again I need to stress that it's all up to the HR to call you for an interview.

I think they give a phone call to have a casual chat with you. At this point they try to gauge whether you are able to speak well. Try to do your best and they might call you for an interview.

Interested? You may PM me with your contact info. I will help you to forward your resume to HR thumbup.gif

*
Not sure on which call center you have spoken to as HSBC not only has their data center here but throughout the world smile.gif

Just a reminder. Please email your resume to me in a proper Word document and preferably if you can attach your current photo with the resume as well.

Do not copy and paste from Jobstreet or what so ever. Please make some initiative as I am here to provide help as I could smile.gif

If you really need help on how to make a resume you may consult me or you may refer to here. You might find some good example by just google around smile.gif

QUOTE(kimmie @ Apr 26 2006, 09:40 AM)
ive work there almost a year as gse.....but u need to sacarfice a lot .no turning back....u get same pay, work public holiday including may day.weekends and odd hours...every 3 months u get allowance and it depends which dept u work in.in singapore and uk is diff.this is given also to prevent ppl from running elsewhere.if u r looking for prospect here is a good place but u need to do something extra to stand out among 2000 ppl.like in charge of charity event , r & r etc. and are u the emotional type? u wont like to be here.u get degraded and scoulded by customer nite and day...u have to pick a set amount of calls a day...and in a limited time...some customer like to drag calls and thus ur call quality is down and that will also determine long time of ur bonus.and if u r lucky u will get a compliment.worst is when they are rejected for their application for their card, they will scream and demand to know the reasons which are not suppose to be given.....but if u can manage to stand all this for a year; ill say u r preety good to work anywhere
*
QUOTE(kimmie @ Apr 26 2006, 09:43 AM)
interviews are usually done in cyberjaya where u might undergo 1st round interview...then go for a test: iq,debate, writting, hearing test.... then for a final interview with ur potential boss from particular process. then if selceted u need go health test and finally go for induction 3 weeks.and then training for ur process 3weeks-3months...
*
QUOTE(kimmie @ Apr 26 2006, 09:48 AM)
in the terms of policits....there are everywhere defintely but mroe prominent with indian because indians are natuarlly good in speaking and many of them are working in call centre....thus sometimes but rarely ull feel they gang up and r buyers....just ignore and do ur best...ur call quality cannot be tempered...
*
Thank you for your explainations.
Some parts are a bit outdated such as quaterly allowances which started on May 2006, allowances will be paid monthly basis.

BTW it's a place to start off as nowadays it's not easy to secure a job and not to deny I felt some politics heat but it's just a matter you wanna be part of it or you wanna let it haunt your mind. If it's haunting your mind then perharps the ppl has accomplished their mission by infecting you icon_rolleyes.gif It will happen everywhere. Trust me
