Actually banks are a very good place for progress provided if you are really resistant and determined to remain.
I have a friend who works for a bank. He started out as a junior accountant, had an extremely stressful work life. He didn't quit though and after 2 years of working there, he applied for interest free loans, bought himself a condominium and a nice Camry. He is only 26. So, work for a bank but be steadfast.
