How well they pay actually depend on how good you are. If you are management trainee or taken into HSBC investment banking i m sure they wont pay u peanut.

However, if u r at bank end support, u probably wont get anything beyond 3k as a fresh graduate

2. How is the benefit for a fresh grad/executive... e.g. 16% epf? pay? allowance? OT?
3. What is the turn over rate?

Not an employee (only went for an interview), but I also work at Cyberjaya and know a few HSBC GSEs.

The main reason is the work (callcentre - listening to people complain isn't easy!) and shifts (fancy working midnight to mornings?). If you are in back-end processing, that's not so bad. But the callcentres are much tougher (pay is higher though).

omg, who bumped into this 2006 topic shocking.gif

anyway, the working environment there is just 'so-so'
the peoples are friendly (that was 3 years plus ago when i was there) laugh.gif got lots of cute chicks too hahaha.. (dunno if they now evolved into 'makciks' or not) laugh.gif

parking will be an issue.

salary will later become an issue (when you realize how much work there is).

turnover is high on all callcentres (that's what i know) - unless you have a super friendly and understanding supervisor.

I heard the Callcenter part had been closed off - and migrated over to somewhere.. lots of people were retrenched because of that. And they are downsizing.

Not sure about the condition right now (a retreched ex staff just joined our company not long ago) - so i guess there still is risk there to be last in first out.

all the best!

p/s : I left the company because of my personal dissatisfaction with the way callcenter agents evolved to became a salesperson. Nevertheless, the people under my team was great, so does my superior - office politics is there, but who can escape from that tongue.gif

I beg to differ, actually those staff no retrenched as waht you mention. True, some process close down like recently Taiwan call centre, due to economy downturn, everyone think abt cost, since Taiwan is more cheaper than Malaysia, then why not they took it back. Right now another few process coming in for example Canada process, Global Market & so on. The affected staff redeployed to other dept, so there's no retrenchment unless the staff choose to leave. Call centre is somewhere no one will stay for a long time, don't feel surprise with the high turnover!!!!!

Dear All,
I have a very unpleasant experience yesterday, After receiving an invitation from HSBC HR team, i called them to confirm my appointment, I spoke to Miss Alicia who requested me to call back the next day and look for Miss Linda. The next day I inform Miss Linda about the appointment and i also requested to reschedule it around 2, though she told me that she doesn't have any idea who send the invitation but i could come in anyway!
So July 8th 1:45 i arrive at the guardhouse of the HSBC building , as a procedure, their security team ask me to register, i handed my passport to their surprise... which also surprises me! They asked "You're a --------{my race}"? as i about to say yes my passport was already on the guards face so i just nod, And whats creepy about it, is that they start making calls to i dont know who and which department and told me that i am not in their list so they cant let me in! I demanded to speak to the people i spoke with earlier and whats even more creepier? those people... refuse to speak to me (after knowing that i am a ------?) and denied my entrance! As one of the security team handed me back my passport, I look him in the eye and said "Yes I am a ------", is that the problem? and before he can even utter some words back i already left in DISGUST!
Definitely not a a good place to spend my 9hrs/day with!

Some people just left me wonder.....Hypocrisy just left me wonder!

So much for the Worlds Local Bank!
