I saw your post previously about HSBC interview. 

My case are smiliar with you, i been told by HR to start look for a room....( on the interview day ) meaning i get the job.
I done all interview including the manager.
but until now no calls from them.

The third lady called you, did it from HSBC number ?
But when interview that time they did see our cert, if we really failed because of math why still continue until manager interview...
My SPM math is 7D... but my english is A2
shit.......... maybe i failed too............

I did call them few days ago, and they told me that the guy in charge of my applications is on medical leave....
she said haven't done the background check, so i guess i will just wait till monday.

22 oct.
This week is the 2nd week now... hmm.............
But i called them few days ago regarding my status but she told me that the HR guy is on medical leave, and told me that they not yet do the background check, my file is with that HR guy.
and she did mention about the HR guy will personally call me tomorrow ( 31 oct. )

But until today ( 1 Nov ) still tarak call. 

If really hire...i dont understand why need took so long to do background check.
I can accept if they straight told me that i fail or anything...rather than waiting...
If we really fail or doesnt qualified for the job, just give us straight answer. 
But now it's like waiting for nothing. 

Haha...now almost 3pm...maybe got interview session they will be busy... so i will be waiting until 7pm+ that time to call them. 
but anyway bro, i hope you can make it....

During my interview, only got 1 girl that is chio   
I did talked with her ABIT ( just now the HR lady called your name but you went to toilet, so i think you probably should ask them now )
She smiled and blur face...telling me ( yeah i went to toilet ) WHY SHE DIDNT GIVE ME THE WINK WINK  EYES!!!??   

Too bad that once i finished my second interview i saw she walk at outside going home...i wanted to run down to chase her...
but got other candidates pull me and asked me about the interview 

Since 28th sept, and  done everything, supposed to start at today 1, but they call me 2days ago, said gona postponed, til today, no1 call me .......swt

28th sept, Yep I made into 2nd interview, but they dint mention bout my salary n dpartment, just ask me wait for the call..den I got called on following week,  said I succeed.

And they just called me, again, I'l goin to start on 8th Nov, yahuuu~  finaly..

Update news :

I just received a call from HSBC ( 22.16pm 1 Nov ) regarding my status, everythings is successful and now she said only wait for background check.
Wow her accent ! i like ! American Style yo !  I'm in love 
She asked me everythings to make sure that i understand what kind of job that i will be doing and the pressure~
She was expecting that i will be working 1 or 2 years minimum~ I told her directly that i will be more than that, me and her had a good laugh   
I asked her did i success ? She said now only wait for background check...   
Yippi Yippi !!!!! I'm happy !!

  I dont know about that since on the interview day they did mention about background check require 1 - 2 week.
but my interview day was on 22 oct....
Today friday excatly 2 week.... ( but i called them before the person in charge of my applications is on medical leave for 2 days )

So to be honest, i also dont know... 
I asked her did i success get the job ? she told me that need to wait for background check, and the person in charge of my applications will contact me soon...

Received a call from HSBC regarding my background check.

Require number from first company i work... 5 years ago...    ( i tak ingat number ) try to find back my SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ago supervisor handphone number... i doubt they will remember me...

hm...long time never come back this forum...since i finished my training ...it's been few months...surprise to see this topic is active again...

i think my interview was on april...i started my induction on may...
after few days they called me ady...
anyway...w8 u guys successfully join in then we can gather....

hm... nowadays the recruitment process really take much time...compare to my previous time...
we even talk to them about this during our 3rd-day induction....
i think they really need to hire more people....not only GSE BUT HR people... 

Every info that i fill in absolutely true.

but 5 years ago first company i work... office number i dont remember, but i manage to get supervisor that time hp number.

So i could only provide supervisor hp number, but i dont know he resigned or not. 

For 2nd company and 3rd i could provide everythings. 

Because only first company i didn't provide office number or reference...    tarak tau mahu put who ...5 years ago

Actually they have walk in interview every Saturday. Why don't just give yourself a try?
HSBC is growing their business, we called it local world bank. The knowledge and experience they given couldn't get from others.
I would say it's good opportunity for us to learn and gain.

they really are, in my process there are 4 newbies including me already. more to come. there are a huge amount of workload coming in my process thats why need to hire a lot.

maybe its the same for your process

turnover is considered a bit high also. most of my colleagues are working here for 2 years or less. only last week 2 people already left

GSE is your job title, Back end processing is your general job scope

Ahahaha, one month in already wanna quit. that would be too fast for me 

BEP is just as good. you will learn a lot one and a half month here still got sooo much to learn.but the work culture here is pleasant, everybody very willing to help you out if got problems.

KL branch. yeah we can. I remember on the phone interview the hr ask me why i dont want cyber since cyber also got transport and everything and i told him KL is more fun than CYB and he laughed!

my interview with the manager was on the same day as my 1st interview with hr. I was the earlier batch that came to the interviews so the manager interviewed me 1st. It was on tuesday sept 4.

i got the call saying i got the job on friday sept 7 the same week! so fast! after that i was rushing for medical exam and everything cos i had to collect the offer letter the next week wednesday sept 12th

i was supposed to start on the 4th october but for some reason the hr kept pushing my start date earlier, so i started on the 20th sept thursday instead

so for me everything was extremely rushed!!

that was the only good thing about it

i work 4pm-1am

i dont have transport, so i rely on the hsbc transport for the time being while i arrange to get a car of my own

will you be based in kl or cyber if hired?

hsbc kl provides transport services if your shift ends after 11pm because they know its hard to find transport at the time

they will pick us up right outside the stock exchange building to certain dropoff points that is as close to your home as they can provide. the only negative thing is that i have to trouble my parents to pick me up after they drop me off at 1.30-1.45 am. So that's why im thinking of getting a car already.

you can tell the hr you want kl branch during the interview.be a bit stubborn la, say that kl branch nearer to home, etc.they need new people to join the company so i think they might place you in kl.

where is your interview by the way? kl or cyb?
