Rienzu, I went for the interview last thursday at Cyberjaya.. nov 10th.. a lot of candidates that day.

HSBC staf all very friendly.. Mr Param rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

luckily i pass the english test.. rclxms.gif didn't expect only got 30 seconds for each question.. doh.gif unsure.gif

the 'hr interview' with Linda also ok and sexy.. smile.gif drool.gif brows.gif icon_idea.gif

arrived there around 12.45, start english test at 2.15 till 2.30.. wait until 3.50 for HR interview with Linda..

at 4 pm, then Suzanne came and said that my final interview reschedule to this coming tuesday at KLC with En Suhaimi as my shift will be follow US time..

Anybody know En Suhaimi is from which team? Line Manager for Call Center or Data Entry Team?

Shift for US time normally start from what time? 9pm or Midnight?

Clearly you missed something. He is on a break from studying, as you say. If his employers are aware, why would they offer him a substantially higher full-time salary?

Just went for BN job fair today and got a conditional offer letter for this job to be based in Cyberjaya. Any fellow forumers here have stayed more than 1 year in this job? What's the working environment like?

Like most workplaces the environment depends on many factors - your colleagues, your bosses, your responsibilities, your roles, your department, your ability etc. Some may find it quite challenging and time-consuming while others find it easy.

Hmm thanks, the thing that most attract me is the recruiter told me the potential for internal promotion is quite high if i stay for >12 months and perform well. Anyone got promoted within HSBC?

Not sure about the promotion bit... TBH I'm not sure how it works as you see some people promoted while the workhorses continue working...

Also understand that this is HSBC's back office... BO staff will always be BO staff, at the whim of dealers and sales traders... also, there are a large number of employees across many departments, so "assistant manager" positions are not uncommon...

All things considered if you don't have a better job offer, this is (on average) quite a comfortable place to work with decent pay... there are no commissions like sales driven commercial/consumer banking jobs though... and like I said before, in some areas/depts you really have to do quite a lot of work... unless there is a situation where an entry-level member of staff is stupid and/or lazy and gets away with doing nothing due to poor oversight.

If they told you to wait, just wait 2 weeks... if you get the job, it may take longer than 2 weeks for them to contact you... but it will be worthwhile...

If you're that concerned and really want this job, then just call and see what happens.
