Dear parents,
Has anyone of you taken the NIPT test for baby's health checker & gender and then it didn't turn out as per results?

Eg, result said boy, but on screen and ultrasound (detailed scanning) said it's a baby girl?

Just curious any cases like this before

I can simply look up online sites and get feedbacks but those sites are all online marketing sites. They'll tell you what you want to hear.

I hope to get personal experience or friends or family who have experience this situation.

Thank u in advance

NIPT is quite accurate because it reads the gender on chromosomal level rather than the outside appearance. I'd trust NIPT than detailed scan.

But then, it's possible (although very very rarely) for a person to be a male on DNA level but a female on appearance due to certain gene defect. Would you rather that person be a boy or a girl? biggrin.gif

Baby boy would be nice because I haven't seen baby boy grow up. But if God gives me a baby girl, it's fine too...

My usual checking can see the tiny kuku bird. Doctor calls it balls. He said can see one ball. One ball is 80% accuracy. If two balls then 90% accuracy. Anyhow, have to wait for the report...

Me started off with twins apparently. And then the other one didn't make it during early stage. The other one could be a girl or boy, and then the blood test (NIPT) might capture the DNA of the other one, possible?

I'm hoping someone here can shed some lights on NIPT report went wrong

That's possible too. I suggest just relax and let the pregnancy continue.

I have both - 2 boys and a girl. They're all different. Not really a gender thing but a personality thing biggrin.gif .
