Hi, first time parents here. Currently we are in the midst of preparing a to-buy-list to welcome the arrival of our baby early next year.

We would like to seek for your opinions and feedback.
- Will we get better bang for the buck if we purchase online (e.g. Lazada, Shopee etc) or during expo (e.g. TCE baby expo, Today's baby expo)?
- Or certain items best purchased during expo/online?
- What are the items worth purchasing during expo?
(some forumer was saying legging for mom?)

Thanks biggrin.gif

small items like baby bottles, teats, paficier etc etc ..online is cheaper.
But if you wanna buy big items like stroller, car seats etc etc, baby expo cheaper.

I got my baby car seat RM 499 (original price is Rm 1300) at baby expo.

I agree with BboyDora. Due to big stuff are heavy and big therefore the shipping cost is higher if u buy online. So is better to go expo.
For me, i prefer to see the physical thing for big items so i can judge the size is to my liking or not. I can also check the condition of the item. Big items are not cheap so is better to check properly before purchasing it. Always do your research beforehand and dont listen to the salesperson entirely especially child car seats. Some salesperson are only part time in expo hence limited knowledge.
But diapers are exception. I usually purchase diapers online coz i dont usually see Merries in expo.

As for me don’t buy baby clothes online. Size and material always seems off.

We plan to use hand-me-down from friends and relatives biggrin.gif
Heard that baby grow up too fast, especially the first year that most probably they will only wear the clothe for a few times.

Aiya.. my wife also said that before. She got lot of boxes from relatives and friends when she was pregnant. Then she started buying by giving excuses such as Chinese new year, birthday, promotion, online shopping, buy during oversea trips, family members help her to buy during their oversea trips, etc. I also notice she havent open a few boxes that she got from her relatives/friends, lol..
