Anyone tried out the new bhp formulation? The one with 800ppm additives.

Any noticeable difference?

Me. So far mileage slightly more, but just slightly. What's more noticeable is the smoothness. It might be a placebo effect but I can feel the engine runs smoother.

Best is Euro 3 fuel already

Among the best fuel in town. Can't go wrong with it.

I'm using Caltex now, but ill try BHP again as Caltex i quite far in my house..

BHP had been having 800 ppm fuel additives for past 5-10 years.
Are you referring to new formula or new adverts here ?

Edit:This BHP Ron 95 is like a Euro III fuels and I find it better than most other brands.

Ohhh. Idk, i just saw them promoting the new 800ppm.

Yes, I saw their new advertisements.
But 800 ppm fuel additive formula hasn't changed since years.
In the old adverts, they mentioned standard dosage is 400 ppm which IMO implies other fuel brands is very much less than 800 ppm.
Besides, BHP Euro 2 RON 95 has very low sulphur and is comparable to Euro 3 standards.
Hence, it's no brainer picking BHP for me.

you can try shell 95 for better mileage but dont expect the engine to be as responsive

How to know if the petrol station already have this new fuel?

The news article stated that the fuel is already available in all bhp stations nationwide.

How to know if the 800ppm additive do clean out of our engine.

Ok! Will give it a try! Now on Petrtonas switching from shell coz of the company fleet card! Petronas to me is better than shell! Also my car manufacturer recommended petronas !

Actually, most if not all stations would have been supplied with stocks based on the new formula, prior to official launch.

This new formula reduce my engine pinging significantly.
On petronas, my engine ignition timing would be average 11-9 degrees and when it ping it pull the timing to about 15 degrees. More noticeable when the AC is running.
On bhp, ignition timing similar to petronas 9-7 degrees and no pinging.

It's a lot easier to cruise ,less pedal pressure needed

Btw the fuel makes our engine run cleaner ,less carbon deposit and better emissions of co2 ....bukan clean your engine ...if celaning your engine is main focus...stick with clatex techron clean and glide.

So is this new formula for RON 95 still Euro 3 "standard"?

There's a review on YouTube for Techron Concentrate bottle which also was sold here. The results is not quite good.

All RON 95 in Malaysia is Euro 2M

I dont think BHP will miss out on the opportunity to sell their unique proposition if they are Euro 3 or Euro 4

Never told you to use the techron concentrate.i meant their petrol...just pump use maybe a month two...let it clean your engine internally slowly of carbon.

BHP RON 95 from a Singapore refinery since 2012 IS Euro 3.

For cleaning usually need consistent use

Usually I don't use BHP because the only BHP station near my house didn't accept CC for purchases below RM30, and then must go pay at the counter. Very suspicious. But for the past 2-3 weeks I started to use BHP after they upgraded the pump machines to accept Amex. Previously BHP makes my engine a bit jumpy, and I didn't know BHP now has a new formula, but I did notice my engine runs smoother and easy to cruise compared to old BHP. Fuel consumption also seems better than old BHP.

Just pump whichever petrol station near your house. Driving out of your way for different petrol brands is a waste of money and time.

99% of fuels (ron 95) in Malaysia are the same.

If any fuel is better than the other, surely they will say so.
