Hi, i have the shoes shown below and i've been using it for about 3 months now. Lately with the rainy weather, there is a tendency of getting the leather wet and i will try to wipe it as soon as possible.

However, i do notice that some parts do not feel as smooth as the parts which is not prone to water. A friend suggested to get a water proof spray at Clarks outlet but they constantly do not have stock. Should i condition the leather as well? Need some guidance biggrin.gif

What is your budget for shoe care? If on a budget can go for any brand of shoe cleaning kit for less than RM 100. Can buy from Timberland store, they have cleaners, conditioners and shoe wax for leather shoes.

What are the ranges and is there a particular step by step to clean?

For example, cleaner --> put conditioner --> wax?

Leather care I've personally tried Timberland and can recommend them, quite affordable as you can get the whole kit for roughly less than RM 100. You can opt for Saphir products if you have higher budget, they even sell kits for shoe polishing.

Brush off any excess dry dirt using horse/soft shoebrush --> clean leather either using any cleaning gel/foam/leather balm with a sponge and buff off any excess with cleaning cloth, let it dry for 30 min --> condition using sponge, let it dry 30 min --> apply wax using fingers and buff excess using cleaning cloth.

I've not use any hydrophobic sprays on leather shoes before, I read somewhere that it could ruin the shoes.

Will have a look at it. Thank you.

I went to Aldo store yesterday and they have their own products but it's rm60+ (200ml) for the spray and rm40+ for the liquid (71ml). The sales person recommended me to get the spray for the shoes in the thread and the liquid spray for my glossy leather shoe. I didn't get it yet because i wanted to read more.
