What is your budget for shoe care? If on a budget can go for any brand of shoe cleaning kit for less than RM 100. Can buy from Timberland store, they have cleaners, conditioners and shoe wax for leather shoes.

Leather care I've personally tried Timberland and can recommend them, quite affordable as you can get the whole kit for roughly less than RM 100. You can opt for Saphir products if you have higher budget, they even sell kits for shoe polishing.

Brush off any excess dry dirt using horse/soft shoebrush --> clean leather either using any cleaning gel/foam/leather balm with a sponge and buff off any excess with cleaning cloth, let it dry for 30 min --> condition using sponge, let it dry 30 min --> apply wax using fingers and buff excess using cleaning cloth.

I've not use any hydrophobic sprays on leather shoes before, I read somewhere that it could ruin the shoes.
