Hi guys and gals,

Has anyone used the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 Canon Mount (Tamron Model A022) lens? I'm looking to get one for outdoor wildlife photography.

I'm not a professional photographer, more a hobby when I travel. This will be used with a Canon 80D.

It's quite a hefty lens, so requires a bit of careful handling when travelling. The price has come down a little bit from release about a year and a bit ago.

Link is https://www.tamron.jp/en/product/lenses/a022.html

Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

Hi, yes, I have checked, and the Tamron lens has both Nikon and Canon versions, should fit a standard EOS/EF mount.

Thanks for the heads up re: Sigma, I will check that too before I make the purchase.

EDIT: Oh, just checked the Sigma 60-600mm, so expensive, twice that of the Tamron!

I also consider between 150-600 and 100-400
100-400 is cheaper & lighter, but 150-600 can cover longer range...
